Named after Osamu Tezuka, the Tezuka Osamu Cultural Prize (手塚治虫文化賞, Tezuka Osamu Bunkashō) is a yearly manga prize awarded to manga artists or their works that follow the Osamu Tezuka manga approach founded and sponsored by Asahi Shimbun. The prize has been awarded since 1997, in Tokyo, Japan. I initially struggled to outline what "sexually explicit manga" exactly means, but I ultimately went with "any manga where a sizeable portion of its content consists of considerably perverted or sexual acts, subjects, imagery, etc." Critics & Connoisseurs was a club that was founded in 2008 and ended club activities on the 31st of 2022. There are only a few manga translated in Greek, mainly because the Greeks interested in manga usually know enough English to read it in that language, and thus publishers don't usually bother with translating. Also for this reason the existing Greek translations are very partial, covering only a few volumes, and usually only in physical format, since they don't bother with making ebooks. Still, here I gather the ones I'm aware of in one place. A list of Seinen manga I think are great and can recommend. Mostly drama/psychological but has a little bit of other stuff. Will update throughout the future When people try to explain why they love a manga so much, you might find the usual "I love the characters", "really like the art", "world building!!". Which, by no means is a bad thing, but an element of manga that is not very commonly talked about it panelling. It's very easy to confuse composition and panelling, but hopefully this list will help you experience the true beauty of how important panel structure is to maintain consistent flow whilst reading! List of SOME mangas that has winning awards in the past. Characters experience trauma which results in a lash of violence or psychological abuse and revenge, will these characters succeed in their revenge or will they forever struggle...? A list of manga with the most realistic artwork I can think of. Some titles have their own style added into the manga, this is totally fine - so cartoonish features and anatomically incorrect proportions are fine - so long as backgrounds or character art is high quality and reminiscent of realistic imagery/CGI then its eligible for this list. Tragedy is a genre of drama based on human suffering and, mainly, the terrible or sorrowful events that befall a main character. In these manga, the Protagonist experiences trauma from war or apocalyptic-like scenarios. These deal with realistic portrayals of the mental and physical effects war has left many lives with... Also sometimes labelled as a splatter, the main focus of the manga is well the blood, guts and dismembered body parts. Shock is a key element of this genre. Movies such as the SAW series are famous for the difficult-to-watch torture sequences, but what a bout the manga? This list is compiled of some of the most gory manga I have seen that aren't pornographic. seinen manga that features serious themes and is not afraid to use things that make the reader uncomfortable - No stuff thats horror only because of gore or shock factor(So sorry to say but no devilman and TG) There are manga that are so amazingly well done that they set the bar a tad too high for any anime adaptation. But then there are attempts to bring them to the screen that go beyond that and don't stop at failing to meet expectations: they're outright lazy, shoddy, phoned-in cash grabs that drain the source material of what made it so good to begin with. |
