Despite my overall rating of 7, I really liked Lucky Number 13. The concept, character and romance development, as well as the art are all above par.
Unlike the stereotypical yaoi manga, there isn't a whole lot of cheese (or sex scenes for that matter). I enjoyed the fact that the couple was believable (emphasis on couple, as there are a lot of other elements in the manga that are definitely not believable).
I've read a fair number of manga from the mangaka, Yanamoto Kotetsuko, and in general, she does not disappoint. She produces witty, original, humorous, and often touching manga with extremely cute characters.

I thought since surprisingly NO ONE reviewed this wonderful manga, so I would have to go through the trouble to do so.
For starters, if you've never read any other works by Yamamoto Kotetsuko, I suggest you also read them because they are AMAZING! OKay I think I'm done onward to the review! As you have probably (or not) read the summary, this is about Tsumabuki who falls in love with Satou but when they start dating, Tsumabuki suddenly experiences many strange unlucky occurrences that happens to him. This is one of the cutest ( and best) mangas I have ever read. Why have more people not read it? Why is it not worshiped? This rom com has forever heightened my standards. The whole idea of bad luck is tricky and isnt commonly seen under the romance genre, so this plot was super original and absolutely adorable. Even when you look at all the other plots similar to this, it still seems to stand out because of the way that its played off.
