Chihiro's character is a bit bland, but this may be due to the story being from Akira's perspective. Akira is a very fun character who felt well fleshed out and drew plenty of chuckles from me.

The pacing was lacking a bit at times, but was overall pretty good. Tone was set up well and I found myself sitting on the edge of my seat in suspense a few times. I also really liked how Junko took a cliche and overdone concept and added multiple unique twists to it! Also, lots of yaoi manga have a weird issue where they are kind of forceful or rapey- ... this one is pretty good with boundaries and stuff! Not perfect, like that one part at the end, but far better than the standard.

Not perfect, but personally one of favorite Junko works. Off topic, but I really think Junko should try her hand at a more action heavy or superhero focused story, she did great with the little bits in this one!

I picked up this manga because I am an immense fan of Junko and took a vow long ago to read all her works. Some of her works are amazing and I will never not love her art. This story, however... was very mediocre.

The story felt very rushed- it really could have been stretched out much longer. Even the individual events occurred so quickly, I would be jolted from my immersion. For example, one page was the couple kissing and the next was straight prawn. What? I was so surprised by how quickly things escalated. The characterization, while being mostly consistent, would occasionally be all ... over the place. I also wish Junko would design some more unique characters. These look good, but her characters to tend to look ridiculously similar to each other.

The central plot is a bit cliché, not necessarily bad, but is excecated poorly. The story constantly had me going "wait, what?". Despite all this, I did think it was a fun read and was able to get through it all in one sitting.

This is one of the cutest ( and best) mangas I have ever read. Why have more people not read it? Why is it not worshiped? This rom com has forever heightened my standards. The whole idea of bad luck is tricky and isnt commonly seen under the romance genre, so this plot was super original and absolutely adorable. Even when you look at all the other plots similar to this, it still seems to stand out because of the way that its played off.

The art, oh my goodness! It is so so cute; I have read all of this Mangaka's works, and she ... never seems to fail in impressing me with her sweet art. I really cant get enough!

The characters are super original and I fell in love with both of them the moment they were introduced. The two of those boys are the perfect match. Overall this was an amazing story to read. It was an adventure the whole way and I wish that the story was longer. I definitely recommend this to anyone whos a fan of quality plot and characters.

It has quite a few cliches, but this story pulls them off in quite an appealing manner. Its quite simple, which makes this story a fairy light hearted read (minus a few...parts), The artwork is flipping adorable and the characters are super cute. They seem to have the structure of a proper relationship, but dont completely fit within the stereotypical "seme" and "uke" molds.

If they were straight, i'd do both of the mains. The artist drew them to contrast each other perfectly, but still appeal to the audience, which I loved. The handled their sexualities in such a realistic and appealing manner (and it ... also aided the plot wonderfully) that I must applaud the mangaka. This is a wonderful manga and I recommend it to many people. I really wish that it was longer.

The story was somewhat creative. I've read stories with the boy who loves a homophobic but they eventually come together before, but they're not very common. At least, not this variation of the story. Naoto gets on even my nerves quite a bit, but he becomes more tolerable as the series goes on. Hajime's character was okay, i'm sure that hes fairly appealing overall, its just that I dont usually take liking nor interest in people like him.

I found this manga because i've read many of this mangaka's works. I love her art with all of my heart, so I always try to ... get my hands on her works as soon as they come out. My favorite part of the story was definitely the art, and its probably the reason why I liked it so much. I do plan to reread this manga soon, mostly because my memory of it is a bit fuzzy and its short. If your really really into yaoi, then maybe take a look at this...if not, then maybe check out some other stuff first.

Honestly, this manga was a struggle for me to read. I did not enjoy it at all, and I found it all painfully awkward. I'll admit that the story was fairly original, and it wasn't very bad, it was the stuff going on when the story was majorly progressing. So much would happen at once and in such a manner that I would squirm in my seat and check my watch uncomfortably. If it wasn't for this, I probably would have found much more enjoyment in the story. This story contains plenty of sex and enough cutesy scenes to keep it from getting out of ... hand, which does add to the romance between Akiyama and Shiba, but not quite enough to make up for the plot in my opinion.

I think that the character design was pretty good, but the personalities were a little less so. Akiyama seemed to have that regular "cool and aloof" personality that is usually seen in the dominant roles in yaois, and while Shiba is softer, he doesn't seem to totally fit into the submissive mold. I thought that the art was pretty cute and I will probably look into some of this Mangaka's other works.

Lots of people seemed to love this manga, but I just didn't really click with it. To be fair, I'm sure that there are some other good things about Akiyama-kun past all the critisizing I did, but I just seem unable to find them.
