both are sci fi stories with a tough female bounty hunter lead in it. 

Both are sci fi action oriented shojo themed stories with a particular focus on the past and how it affects the characters in the present.  

They have similiar settings. Both take place in the space with different planets and space bounty hunter. 

Well, both of these stories are about a guy who was once a part of a "mob-like" organization, and left becoming a bounty hunter. In "Black Cat" the main character is named "Train" and his rival is "Creed", who wants to take over the organization. In "Bebop" the main character is "Spike" who's rival is "Vicious", who had succeeded in overtaking the mob-organization. There is also a girl involved in both stories, and each has a right-hand man and a woman that used to be a thief. This is a really good story. I'm not quite finished, but so far it's well written, and the characters are well thought out. If you liked Cowboy Bebop, I'm sure you'll fall in love with the Black Cat! read more
