This is better then the parent manga. I'm serious. I don't know why a spin off manga of Iruma where he joins the mafia instead of going to hell exists, but I ain't complaining because this is genuinely amazing! Getting to see all of the characters from Iruma in a new light with new backstories, new motivations, and new character designs was way more enjoyable then I expected. If you like Iruma at all you should read this. This takes the exact same plot from the parent manga but executes it perfectly and in a new interesting setting, with even better art. There really is ... no reason for me to give this anything other then a 10 I couldn't believe it myself.

Story : ★★★☆☆
I do think Iruma taking the mantle of the young boss is an interesting premise, given that the Iruma (we all know and love) is a pure and innocent soul, incapable of inflicting harm. But that's the issue. I'd much rather have the gruesome nature of meddling in the mafia business challenge Iruma's whole identity more, and gradually morph his fantastical beliefs to a more realistic one. Obviously, I can't foresee if future chapters tackle this issue so I'll leave it at that. If having Iruma be the same positive beacon of optimism is your cup of tea, ... I genuinely recommend you give this spin-off a read.

Characters: ★★★★☆
The personalities of the characters remain rather the same here, just in a different environment. I'll rate some of the characters:
Alice (4/5) : I like how the author tried to introduce a interesting background for Alice, having him work double-time.
Iruma (3/5) : This is my personal preference. I just don't really like how they did Iruma here. He has his cool moments and I'd like to see more of that.
Clara (4.5/5) : I really like her introduction and her personality. However, shes TOO much like the source material Clara (really childish). I'd like to see her have more serious moments.
Opera (4.5/5): I like his more "wild" and destructive personality, he's interesting and I'd be interested to learning about his history.

Art: ★★★★★
The art is wonderful. I really enjoyed my read-though. I found Clara and Opera to be the most well drawn characters out of the bunch.

CONCLUSION:
If you are a fan of this franchise, I 100% recommend you give this a read. Even if you're not, it's still a unique story with captivating art.

As someone who never read the original series, this series is still a blast.

- Art, (8 / 10): the character design seems to be accurate to their main story counters parts while keeping them human (i.e. hair cuts or hats). The art style it general is really good and more sharp & eye catching than the current chapters of the the original series (around ch. 360’s).

- Story, (8 / 10): Pretty heartfelt for a mafia story. You get the quirky/zany optimism you’d expect from Iruma, there’s a still a dark undertone of stakes due to the mafia setting that keeps things entertaining especially when ... it comes to the forefront like in recent chapters (around ch. 14).

- Character, (7 / 10): the characters & their dynamics seem pretty fun so far. We’ll have to see what more heart-to-hearts lay head but it’s solid for now.

- Enjoyment, (7.7 / 10): I breezed through this series quicker then I thought and wish there was more. I’d recommend this to anyone that’s into the semi-light hearted mafia story.
