I'll keep this short and sweet. The plots fun, nothing heavy just enjoyable. The arts as you would expect but with some bit of glossyness like the anime "we cant learn", which feels weird at first but grows on you.

The concept is nothing new, however the way they went about it feels new. I wont say much on the plot but I will say theres little to no drama so if you just finished an intense plot and need an escape from it this is the ideal series.

At the time of making this theres currently 7 chapters so who knows what may happen. As ... for the characters, the fmc is probably the most interesting thing I've seen in a while and it just works.

All around 7-8. includes art, story, and characters.

I hate mangas like these; there is no further plot/character development until the manga has become stale and stagnant, losing its charm. Yet, this one hits the right checkmarks when it comes to a wholesome, comedic read; one that doesn't solely rely on a unique twist or take on plot, but rather a frame that is supported by the characters alone.

The plot of this manga isn't unique in the slightest with the idol romance trope, yet this does add a small twist by making the fmc hopelessly in love with the mc. Now, there's a very, very fine line between character expressions/romance being cringeworthy or ... cute; thankfully, the manga has not had a cringe moment but rather a comedic sub-tone when it involves character cuteness. From this alone, the plot isn't necessary, though wanted, or impactful for the story's enjoyability.

At the end of the day, this manga capitalizes on all the wants of a reader when it comes to cuteness and the incorporation of comedy; surrounding characters are somewhat self-aware, but it becomes a comedy cluster due to the misunderstandings, similar to "Gamer."

In Japanese pop culture romance stories the trope of a famous love interest seems to be very popular. Even if you go back to early visual novels you will often see an actress/idol or some other form of celebrity being one of the potential options. Whether this is just to add some flavour to the character or if it is a way to make the main character feel like they are important in some way I don't know, but what I can tell you is that recently I have been seeing it pop up more often in romance manga. This series being no exception. We ... follow Ichiji Takuya, a hard working highschool boy, and Saegusa Shion, a former idol who is in the same class as Takuya. The story focuses on how their relationship develops, first as friends and later (likely) as a couple. The manga tries to differentiate itself from its peers by using certain tropes and character quirks but this sadly falls pretty flat due to the lacking execution. The characterisation of Shion is a bit hit or miss. Her awkward quirks are inconsistent and over the top in a way that is not endearing but rather a bit jarring. There is not a baseline for these moments to build on, when she is being quirky that is just her for the reader, we don't get to see what it is supposed to be a contrast to, or atleast not in a way that is convincing. The childhood friend character and the other girl in the friend group are given even less room to develop. There is no romantic tension, no stakes, no atmosphere and no real reason to get invested in the characters. I also think that the art is a bit lackluster. The character designs are simplistic and tend to be a bit inconsistent. The backdrops are also uninteresting and simplistic. Basically, this manga simply lacks an identity and is fuly replaceable by any other story with a similar concept that has a bit more care and thought put into it. Even though this manga is not really bad in anyway, it is consistently below average in the most forgettable way you could imagine.
