Both manga are about the troubled lives of LGBT teens struggling to deal with their traumas. Both are angst stories with a happy ending.

Both Oniisama e...and Pieta revolve around sexuality, and delve into issues such as parental abandonment, self harm, and mental illness. Also, the flashbacks involving the private school with Sahoko and Rio remind me a bit of Oniisama e, what with the schoolchildren with fancy haircuts and gossiping about Rio's private life.

Free Soul and Pieta (I can't do that fancy letter thing, I'm sorry) both have themes of relationships, sexuality, and parental issues. The tone in Free Soul and Pieta are both similar, too, although Pieta's tone seems slighty darker thus far (I have only read chapter 1).

- Both have protagonists that deal with emotional abuse by their step-parent. - Both have supporting character that have complicated relationship with the protagonist and try to help them through their problem in unusual ways. - Both stories explore the psychological state of the protagonist through metaphor and imagery.

Broke teens that hide their problems from everyone else end up changing after meeting each other. CUT is a lot darker, but both titles are angst stories with a happy ending.

A very good yuri story with heavy psychological themes. Pieta is about highschool girls and Philosophia is about collage students.

Both stories have characters struggling to heal psychological wounds. Both stories don't take gender roles for granted, both are thought-provoking and beautiful, they also challenge standard notions of set roles for people to play.

Both stories are about hurt and lost girls healing after meeting certain people in their lives. Cat Street has a lot more love drama and Pieta is more josei.

Similar themes of two people helping each other cope with their various past damage, although Mars is a much longer story.

A calmly paced and gentle manga, portraying the lives of two different women as they become dependant on each other. The artwork is also similar.
