This manga is really a great piece of work. The story started off by revealing to you the relationship between the protagonist and his favourite lead singer. However, don't be fooled by the initial plain introduction as you will soon be absorbed into the story as it progressed further down the later chapters.

It has a great mix of emotions and at times, you will really feel for the character, for better or for worse. Each of the characters were thoroughly introduced, thus giving you a sense of attachment to the characters. The artwork of the manga is also superb. Rarely ... do I come across artwork of this magnitude. It is easily on par with Sun Ken Rock (another highly recommended manga) and GTO (one of my all time favourites).

Overall the enjoyment was really really pleasant. If you have not started reading it, you should. It really leaves you craving for more but not to the extent of leaving you hanging. I cannot wait for the anime adaptation to come out.

I loved reading this manga, especially as a fan of J-pop/rock music. The chapter are based after songs from artists like Asian Kung-Fu Generation, Bump of Chicken, and various other artist. Plus, they have inserts from the song so if you choose to play the song with the insert it really conveys the tone and emotion to the reader. Shying away from spoilers, I thought some relationships in this manga kinda were weird and I know some may not be ok with it, but if you can look passed it you'll see how wonderful this manga really is.

A band you loved. A sister you havent seen for 10 years.

It simply cant get any crazier for poor Sakuta Gotou, his favorite "Incest" is in town! And while hes at a concert the lead singer points at him, who would have imagined that , that was his sister! The story revolved around Sakuta and how his sister although not fervently stated in the series starts developing more and more feelings for her brother, you guys probably get the picture, a band named "Incest" and a sister warming up to her brother. Love triangles, drama, and comedy are just some of the things ... prevalent in Seishun Pop!

Characters : Nothing amazing decent personalities and nice development. The brother and sister have really nice characters especially. 8/10

Art: Im not extremely picky the art isnt horrible by any means, its actually quite good but its definitely not perfect 8/10

Enjoyment: Although its only 16 chapters out so far this was a very enjoyable series, and for gods sake someone better translate it already ^-^.

I reccomend this to anyone wishing for drama/romance/comedy.

- Character motivations are not constucted well
- speech bubbles do not have arrows, so can be confusing

The main thing to note with this series is it contatains two different manga, with two different genres. The first 15 or so chapters start out with a relativly easy going tone, traditional harem ecchi story telling with a single flash of breasts. The wrighting is not ... amazing but its a fun little jaunt. notable genres include; ecchi, romance, slice of life

Its at this point the writing switches gears and begins turns into a full fleged adult manga with serious tones, you will understand when this happens. No more tropes, it just keeps the convinent plot points (miss understanding, miss timings etc).

The story and plot are reasonable and intresting, however the manga does not adhear to the established personalities of the characters. As such the decisions and plot points come across as forced and out of character. Thus leaving you with the sensation that everything just dosen't feel quite right. When you couple this with the crazy tone swiches the manga becomes less than enjoyable.

The worst thing is the manga has you expect and nice happy experience only to take it away quite suddenly.

I found this manga as an accident while I was looking for some good slice of life manga. And when I saw the incest tag, I got disappointed thinking it'll be one of those garage Mangas.
But then the ratings and some of the comments caught my attenstion and my God am I glad those did. This comic is really really good. Don't get distracted by the negative comments, people are just like snowflakes nowadays ( no offence intended XD).
The characters are believable and realistic and thus are easy to understand and relate to. The story is good enough to keep you engaged and craving for ... more. The conclusion feels earned and not just thrown.
For me it was a breath of fresh air and a hidden gem.
Go ahead a give it a go, I am sure you won't be disappointed.

Although many people seem to have not enjoyed the final arc of the manga, i found it very fitting. For the whole buildup, everything in the manga goes so well. The story has a ver "normal" feel and all the characters are well developed, but you can still sense that there is something missing. In the final arc, we slowly start to delve deeper into the characters and finding all their hidden sides. We notice that everyone has a dark story behind their big smile. I found it so fitting, and this definitely left a mark in me ... that will make it hard for me to forget this story. The very dark ending is painful to read but keeps you sucked in anyways, and it is only once you finish the manga that you finally see the big picture. I enjoyed it very much even though i wanted to give up midway. The last chapter that wraps it up also does it's job very nicely, putting a dot and the end of the story.

9/10 would recommend. I was also listening to emotional cold play music during the last arc, which was very fitting, so I would recommend that too.

Makes me say "Just one more chapter..." every night.

I'm having trouble expressing my thoughts with this manga, although it's not too heavy nor too light to read. I'm struggling because I can't put into my mind who's the best girl even after I finished reading it. Still, it's a great manga that somehow gives the vibe of "School Days" anime.

The story tackles bands and their popularity, including the struggles which they face every now and then. You know, like your favorite band member having some controversy suddenly spilling out and such. It also shows the struggles of those who know them and their sufferings they ... get just because they know famous people personally.

To be honest, I only got interested in this manga because it's been marked under music genre. Reading the manga, it felt like I was watching some sort of play or a musical movie, complete with all the characters singing on every scene.

I like the last volume, although I didn't expect it to end that way (talking about the last two chapters). I could probably compare it with "School Days" anime, only this manga has a somewhat happier ending. Almost every character changed after the timeskip, and the last chapter feels like it hints for another story.

Oh yeah, this manga was also tagged as ecchi. I underestimated the possible contents of an ecchi manga, specifically this manga. My mind was not ready (LOL).

***There's a reason why the mangaka named the band INCEST***

I'm not used to making reviews on manga/anime, but i will try my best!

Well there is a good amount of hate around this manga, and to be honest its all understandable. The manga was so good until midway. Then it got rushed and has a really, really bad ending. I would give a 9 until mid and like a 6 after it and a 3 ending.

Really pitiful cuz it was really good at the start... I was so into it i was really looking foward to the end, just to be disapointed.

At the start you can really get in touch with the caracters, mainly with ... the 2 main caracters, Sakuta and Shiori. Its really well writtens aswell. Anything after that is rushed and disappointing.

So if you read the premise then you would assume this would be a some sort of romantic drama with a comedy here and there. That's what this was for the first half of the manga but the second half suddenly takes a tone shift to i wanna say a more darker/serious tone? Our MC is somewhat of a loner who loves this rock band. When going to one of their concerts he is then greeted by his lost sister. The two begin to from a sibling relationship that hints at more. From here we see our loner actually start to develop in many ways....for ... the first half of the story. Honestly that's my biggest flaw with it. I'm not against darker toned stuff but it caught me off to say the least and it didn't make the story any better in my opinion. If anything it made it worse cause it seemed like the MC was doing better with the support of others but then a lot of drama starts popping up one after another. By the end of it, we get somewhat of a bitter sweet ending to say the least that I'm still somewhat confused on. I don't really see any reason to read this other than if you are interested in the incest genre or you the like artist who draws Dead Tube(so yea there's some sex scenes here and there).
