Now, I must say that I was contemplating reading the novel of this manwha two or so years ago; however, I didn’t due to some negative reviews, so it’s quite a surprise for me to enjoy this so much. Anyway, for the actual review:
Cutesy manwhas — I can’t say that I’m a huge fan of them, as they get stale quickly and there’s virtually no tension formed due to the thick amount of plot armor. Though that may be applicable to this story, there’s a very well-maintained amount of pacing and struggle along with the combatting dynamic of two paradoxical lovers that makes this story
...
shine through the negatives that come along with this genre. To note on what I said earlier, the “cutesy” art style makes it hard for a serious undertone to form when reading, so fight scenes may seem silly at first glance. Despite that, it’s supplemented well with the struggle in each fight, as there is nothing that’s given easy to the mcs.
Definitely one of the better “wholesome” action manwhas to read, even for someone who doesn’t particularly tend to this genre.
