I love the twist in chapter 24.
But I have to admit it, the pacing slows down A LOT after chapter 24 and mixes slice of life, which may turn readers off compared to the build up of action leading up to it. And I understand so I warn you now.
It's still enjoyable, but I feel like some potential is lost due to the slow pacing and what the writer does with the new setting. I feel like they could have taken the concept further and fuse elements from both settings in a more interesting way, but from where I'm reading the protagonist seems more like
...
a vehicle/catalyst for the growth of another character than an actual character after the twist happens.
If the author sees this through, maybe I will understand some of their narrative decisions and be surprised once again when all the separate elements culminate.
Worst case, it may disappoint the action fantasy oriented audience it garnered and slice of life audience that it may have never hooked, due to the build up and please nobody.
But for now I think it's solid and I would recommend at least the first 24 chapters to EVERYBODY.
