Synopsis

Theodore Miller knows everything about magic... except how to use it. Just as he's about to flunk out of Berghen Academy, Theo chances upon a grimoire named "Gluttony" that manifests as a magic-hungry creature on his hand. The more magical texts and artifacts Gluttony consumes, the more powerful Theo becomes, quickly making him the academy's star student. Sure, he now lives under constant threat of being eaten by an insatiable parasite, but Theo is finally on his way to becoming a real wizard.

This fantasy manhwa follows a magic school student who acquires a grimoire that lets him absorb books for power.

Story: 8/10
The underdog-to-hero premise is well executed, with a good balance of school life, action, and lore reveals. Events flow smoothly and the story stays engaging.

Art: 8/10
The art style is unique and atmospheric. The muted palette suits the eerie monster grimoire. Action scenes have great energy. Character expressions are sometimes odd.

Characters: 8/10
The stoic yet quirky MC is likable. His rapport with his master is a highlight. Supporting characters serve their roles well so far but need more depth.

Made it about 30 chapters and gave up. The author kind of forgot to develop a story here. Random boring MC stumbles upon a random magical thing and becomes super powered. MC has no motivation, no goals, and no personality. All the characters are dull and boring. Blasting out magical attacks is about as deep as it gets. It's amazing they can't even be bothered to come up with a villain for these stories. MC is an underdog for about 1 chapter and then he's the best that has ever existed. There's no suspense since we only know about the MC and obviously the MC ...
