The first chapter alone was enough information about the MC to make me drop it and not bother, he betrays his friends, backstabs them, starts a war that kills tons of people and straight up said "That had nothing to do with me." He had a bunch of concubines and was mad that he is dying because he didn't get to sleep with his newest one, hoarded all his money/wealth, and did many bad things which just made the MC be a despicable hypocrite.
He isn't a lovable or even a likable character for that matter, doesn't make you want to read about his life

A fun murim manwha. Not groundbreaking, but it is pretty good. What this manhwa does especially well is the slow character development of the MC. The MC is a dirtbag at the start, but over time softens a bit and grows as a character, while still retaining aspects that set him apart from his peers. The commitment to the character development is great, as often manhwa's have an evil MC who is reborn and acts essentially good as soon as they are reborn. Obnoxious MC drags the story down. If you can accept the MC is an unlikable jerk then it's not a bad manhwa, but otherwise it's going to be absolutely painful to get through. I've read two complete seasons and the MC actually becomes more annoying as the story progresses. MC hates everyone, bullies everyone, overreacts to everything, cries about everything, only cares about money. It doesn't even make sense why he's acting like a bratty kid when he's actually really old. The "comedy" is disappointing and is just MC making funny faces. This could have been a good series but they dropped the ball.
