Alice in Wonderland references. The character designs are quite similar. The main characters - Oz and Alice (AYA?) are dragged into a abyss/world where they don't belong. They're personalities are quite similar but Alice seems a bit older than Oz. Gil/Mad-hatter has to protect Oz/Alice. Gil and Mad-hatter are very similar in character design and personality. Both characters are dragged into a plot where they have to find something. Alice, a white rabbit and Oz, shards of memories. Genres are also very similar. Note: Alice is a guy.

Both have: - Main boy is searching for the truth related to his past. - A lot of bishonen. - Great art, fantasy setting and good characters.

Alice in Wonderland adaptations filled with cute, twisted guys and aimed at a female audience. Wonderland is quite a dangerous place for the Alices to wander around.

both are a blend of modern fantasy and classic fairy tale, where, behind a lighthearted facade, a dark mystery is hidden. both have unique visual presentation and paneling layouts; With Hat Atelier illustrations looks reminiscent of traditional gravure printing, and Are You Alice uses cinematic composition style and angles.

Both revolve around the Alice in Wonderland storyline, but I honestly find Are You Alice? to be more entertaining both in story, character, art and so on. I'm more into character-driven stories and Are You Alice thrives on character whereas the characters in Wonderland are quite plain. Please read it if you get the chance!

protagonists find themselves in an unfamiliar place and are forced to play a game, where they have to fulfil certain conditions and, as result, escape from an enclosed space. in Nana Ouji the playground is limited within the castle walls, in Are You Alice it's entire Wonderland.

Characters that have and want to become "Alice", a title given to someone in a murder game (AYA) and to the perfect doll (RM). They are involved in a game where deaths can be caused and the mysterious scenario is often present with bits of comedy once in a while.

In both, Alice is a boy and he must win the "game" (in Aya is to kill the white rabbit, while in S.A. is to be King). Also in Aya, Alice stole the name to the real Alice, while in S.A., Alice´s true name was stolen by the Red King, and in both its essential to get the name back in order to win the game.

Similar art style; characters in odd gothic costumes; similar vibe overall.
