Favorites: 477 Resources | New Interest Stack Interest StacksOkay so my favorite niche sub-genre of manga is the ones where the cast has to kill each other or participate in some sort of sick and sadistic game. I have read most of these, but it is my favorite so I figured I should share with the world, enjoy! Manga that're strange, confusing, ridiculous, seem surreal, are overly silly, where the abnormal is normal, are very high paced, or may simply make you go "what?". Anything ranging from gag comedy to gore, all with various levels and types of absurdity. Just decided to make a list of manga about death games, I find them to be very amusing. Japan has had quite a fascination with Lewis Carroll's Alice's Adventures in Wonderland novels, such that allusions to the work, its characters and plot, appear in various anime & manga series time and again. This stack collects series that are quite overtly based on the work. Quite a few are based on Quinrose's Alice-inspired visual novels. Dear Gothic Lolita lover These series take inspiration from &/or are based on different folktales, folklore, &/or fairytales from all around the world. Part 2 of the shoujo/josei mystery stacks still at wip but feel free 2 let me know if there's anything to be considered being added. Most of these are gonna be Alice-inspired because that's what I tend to like... and some of them are more folktales than fairytales... but like, same difference. Pessimistic worldviews. For when you want to wallow in despair. Titles that should be in this list that are missing from database: A shoujo manga means a comic published in a magazine targeted towards the young female demographic (under 18) in Japan. Josei means a comic published in a magazine targeted towards the mature female demographic in Japan. A list of the Shojo and Josei manga that have been licensed by Yen Press continued I tried to compile an extensive list of the English Licensed Shojo and Josei manga titles where romance is a sub-plot at best, if present at all (many of these don't have any romance present). |
