Synopsis

As Aria Roscente walks to the gallows, the people cheer, elated to see the death of a true villainess. Her tale is a rags-to-riches story; after her mother married a count, Aria began flaunting her newfound wealth and abusing her status. The people could only pity her saint-like sister, Mielle, who had to put up with such a sibling for many years. But right before she dies, Aria learns the truth—her downfall was all part of Mielle's plan.

When Aria reawakens, she finds she is in the past, and beside her is a mysterious hourglass. The former villainess now has only one goal: revenge. From the count's respect to her fiance's affection, everything that Mielle once loved will be Aria's. Using her knowledge of the future and the hourglass' power to turn back time, Aria will do whatever it takes, even if that means using others or faking a smile, to see her vengeance through.

It's quite impressive. The vengeance unfolds tangibly, not as an empty promise. The protagonist is exceedingly intelligent, adept at maneuvering through obstacles, and above all, a villainess who embraces her role without undue concern for "innocents."
I thoroughly enjoyed the Manwha; few captivate me, and this is only the second I've read! I appreciate the story's development and how intricately everything is interconnected. Aria truly embodies a compelling villainess who acknowledges her nature yet also grapples with her emotions.

This series is just an attempted replica of a far superior one: villains are destined to die. The concept for the plot is not original at all and the schemes in the story are not intelligent or clever either. The characters are mediocre and far less interesting to the ones in the other series. Mielle, the main antagonist, was made to be as evil as possible just for the sake of the main character's revenge. The actual revenge at the end is pretty sick and appalling as well. First of all, let's talk about the main characters' personalities.
Aria is an insufferable, entitled, egotistical freak who sees everyone else as disposable pawns so much you would think Light Yagami or Lelouch Lamperouge are presidents of the Salvation Army in comparison.
