One of the best one-shot yaoi manga available, this was one of the first of this genre I read and it set my standards high. It is a "must read" for yaoi lovers!

It's a sweet story of a young beautiful man who falls for the rival clan's tall handsome heir and how they find love together. The artwork is truly outstanding! Although the storyline is, one must admit not the most original, yet the delicious characters really liven it up and it flows smoothly. The sex scenes are on the discreet side, but there is no doubt of the passion between the two. And it ... even has a satisfying ending. What more can you ask for? I loved it, and will always keep it in my collection.

This is a very enjoyable one-shot manga. I love the characters and will never get tired of reading this book. I truly enjoy the story, and the hopeful romantic in me squeals in delight every time I finish it.

Pros: Absolutely beautiful art, interesting and engaging story, very romantic, and the three stories are all related.

Cons: Obviously not historically accurate (but who cares!) and Yuuen is way too effeminate for my tastes.

The best yaoi manga I have ever read in my Otaku life : )) Is not your tipical yaoi manga in which the Uke is sensitive and powerless. Here the Uke has a great personality trying respect his father's decisions and overall I loved him during the whole manga. The art was enjoyable. Takashima sensei is the best mangaka for me and her mangas are always great, the graphic was awesome.
It was expected. Overall I loved it. I`ll read it again if I`ll be bored or sad or anything. Always a pleasure to read such powerful manga, especially if it is yaoi, one of ... my favorite genre.

Overall I will say this manga gets a 7. My enjoyment of it- a 9.
For a yaoi, BL, manga the story was fair and it gave time for some development, it did show some span of time or implied it for the characters to actually get to know each other than the traditional one-shot.
The artwork was a bit choppy, but gave good details. Darker in tones and even for a soft core yaoi, it was well drawn.
The characters, again were made out well, had the conflict presented and even a back story that supported the main story. The main character's love for each other is ... a cute one and it shows the sacrifices made to get what they wanted.
Again over all it was a good, easy read.
