Both have heavy analysis on various fighting techniques as well as the fighters' mentalities. Holyland deals with street fighting while All Rounder Meguru focuses on MMA as a sport.

Both series are about a main male protagonist who starts out as an underdog but works their way up in the martial arts world. Their journey takes them against powerful adversaries while discovering their true potentials. Both series features a lot of action as part of the fighting mechanics involved in their storytelling. In addition, there's decent character growth with the main protagonist that sees him evolve over the course of the story.

Okay. One is about MMA and one is about tennis, but both manga's depict the technical aspects of the sport nicely, and realistically. Both the main characters don't have overwhelming physical or technical abilities, but steadily get better and tend to win by analyzing the opponent and hitting their weak points. Meguru is a bit darker though, especially with character backstories, as it's a seinen instead of shonen like Baby Steps.

Both of these manga focus on MC who craves to learn more martial arts to get stronger in his desired field of fighting

- both centered around mma - both about mc's whos main strategy is their ground game - both mcs are kind of lacklustre and normal in their own ways - both enjoyable as frick and have great art/moments

Even though they have different fighting styles, it's still the same: ''simple joe'' is trying to become something else by training hard.

Both bring the style of fighting into a new view. If you loved the fighting style and tecniques from tough All rounder Meguru will show you a new one. Just as fun and captivating.

The two main things which make it similar is that is revolves around fighting and training in a competitive environment and second is the character Ippo like Meguru are both passive non aggressive characters .
