Both have the same author, and the artwork at the end is almost same as that in Fairy Tail. Great story with tons of lovable characters!

both protagonists go on a dangerous adventure to bring down some external dark force that threatens the fate of the world.

Taking place in a fantasy world, both series follows an adventurous tone with its main cast of characters. The main male protagonist from both series are selfless, courageous, is always on the lookout for a challenge. During their adventure, they encounter many friends, allies, and enemies. They also develop a deep relationship with the main female protagonist as well. Furthermore, both female protagonist has secrets of their own as we learn more about them throughout the story. Expect high amounts of fantasy and shounen-style battles.

A girl who lost her memory, a lot of kinda weird guys that travel around worlds. They have rare pets that can talk and be so useful.

In terms of characters, both the main guy character has an anti-self that they have to fight, and a supporting main girl character has a surprising past. The ending fight and twist is quite similar, except 666Satan probably have a sadder ending (relatively, but it depends on how you read it). In both manga, the characters (no matter who you are) gets stronger... and converts the evils. In addition, they all hinted some sort of romance and comedy. Oh. They both have strange pets. haha. A bit of a warning though, rave has an art style that resembles One Piece-ish. If you  read more

both deal with the power of friendship and believing in yourself more powerfully that in the other fighting shonens. Also both series like to make their villains know repentance and redempttion after they are beaten.

Both have pretty cool and charismatic characters and are some of the few fighting shonens with kicking ass girls...

Source of the Rave Master cast for the cross over. Not as well known as Fairy Tail but definitely worth reading.

At first you can't tell how are the two mangas similar. They have the same atmosphere (a group on a journey to save the world; the mystery of the female protagonists), and both mangas are comedies, a bit ecchi and very awesome! :D

Other than the over-the-top action sequences, both series tell a good story filled with tons of exaggerated humor.
