See, this was very fun. I don't care if the male lead was bland, the female lead was a bit of an airhead, or whatever inconsistencies happened in the duration of the story. I love this manhwa because it stood out from the other reads I had. From the lore to the characters, I am absolutely in love through and through.

If I can nitpick one little thing though, I hated the last arc. I just wanted it to get done and over with but I had to persevere because I am invested like crazy with this manhwa. Yerenika is MY ABSOLUTE FAVORITE female lead character, ... probably of all time (which is crazy, I know, but she gets me). She's such a fun character to follow through, she's not totally OP but she isn't completely helpless either without the male lead's help. However, even her innate charm wasn't enough for me to easily breeze through the chaos of the last arc. I think the story was built in a sense that it keeps amplifying my expectations, only for the hype to fall flat 'til the very end. It didn't help that the plot keeps going round and round, like what I'm doing now in this review but only ten times worse. I could've swore the same, tedious conversation keeps happening for like ten sets of chapters, on at least three separate occasions. I may have exaggerated that bit but I am not kidding when I say finishing that last arc was like waking up to at least three-weeks' worth of nightmare.

Tidbit aside, I still obviously love this story so much. It's the first isekai I read where it actually makes sense why it's an isekai. I know that doesn't seem so unique anymore but FWTVD came out at a time (for me) where being isekaied is more or less just a plot device that isn't going to be mentioned again after it happens. It's such a refreshing introduction to the isekai genre, and the lore is definitely something to stay for. The worldbuilding for this manhwa is actually really, really good- I really wish there was more to it because it was very interesting.

But if I were to pinpoint the essence of this story, it's definitely the characters. The dynamics between the FL and ML is soooo good, it's definitely a Dalseul trademark. If your love language is physical touch, this is definitely up your alley because it takes like zero chapters for the FL and ML to initiate skinship. I'd definitely recommend this if slow burn is churning you out.

All in all, this was fun. Was it cliched at one point and inconsistent at the other? Definitely, but like I said, I had fun- I'm waiting for the side stories, I couldn't really care less. Le shrugs.

Overall, it's a good manhwa - it's entertaining, fun, has an interesting plot and keeps you rooting for the main couple BUT, just like many other manhwas out there, the ending fell kinda flat

Plot:
This story is super cliché, you've probably read it a thousand times, yet like Todd Howard once said "It just works" lol. Typical story of being reincarnated into a novel (before the canon events have started), female lead changes the course of the plot with her shenanigans and gets herself kidnapped instead of her sister, MC realizes she has to seduce the emperor (novel's villain's father) for everyone to have a happy ... ending.
It's simple, it's nothing super innovative, but it works really well. Props to the author for making the MC's shenanigans so entertaining and for turning such a simple plot line into a fun engaging story.
There's no harem or any sort of thing like that

Characters:
MC is the typical klutzy female lead with a heart of gold whose plans/shenanigans always result in funny situations. She's the very incarnation of cute - I know it, you know it, the male lead knows it
Male lead is the handsome, cool but distant gentleman who slowly warms up to the female lead. Man has rizz
The main antagonist is a THOT, but I love her design and she has some respectable traits.
Priest dude is bae. He can't marry, because he's already married to me.

Art:
The art is quite intriguing - the characters are drawn extremely beautifully, but the issue is that the artist clearly didn't have the same type of commitment for the background scenes, so don't be shocked by the hilarious CGI horses or some of the contrasting backgrounds

TL;DR overall, it's a pretty nice read. I recommend it, and would've given it a higher rating if the last arc had been more satisfying. The ending is conclusive though and ties all ends

A light-hearted series where our FL was isekai’d into a novel just before it begins, as Yerenika, the second princess of a rural nation. Shortly after adapting to her new life, she steals the place of her then-unknowingly pregnant sister as the negotiation hostage between her home and the Empire. All because her father was trying to squeeze some extra coin via trade route that goes through their territory. Against the strongest, magic-wielding nation.

But along the way and learning of her magic intolerance, FL realizes the easiest way to ensure a Happy—rather, a Not-Bad—Ending: prevent her royal kidnapper, Emperor Euredian, from marrying Soleia who ... will birth the novel's Villain. Her solution? Proposing marriage to him. Even after it’s proven she can’t handle the magic-abundant palace, something only strong holy power can remedy. And that’s part of how Yerenika manages to secure time with Euredian, the direct descendant of God itself.

Over time as a hostage, Yerenika charms the palace staff and secures the position of being the most despised by Soleia, a woman who possess strong magic. She is terrified of pain, of dying, yet sacrifices her pride and even her health in her attempts to seduce the Emperor and protect him all the same. Even if she’s supposedly powerless.

The story continues into a passionate romance story on top of a battle between Heaven, Hell, and Earth. The writing does well on both fronts and manages to keep the readers engaged. The art can be static at times, but it’s charm works well with the tone and is pleasing to the eyes.

overall this was a cute lighthearted (most of the time except when the magic got a bit dark) read with overall positive energy :) nothing specifically poor to stand out but nothing that really makes you go wow amidst the other isekai romcoms - your typical story of main character waking up in a book she read, would recommend anyone to give this a read

story 7/10 - main plot and story line was good but did get a bit dragged out at times
characters 7.5/10 - only development is really the main few characters which can get a bit stale sometimes; nothing too monumental of ... the character development but good synergy between characters which were nice
romance 9/10 - good romance and moments captured, very good development of the romance between the couple and enjoyable couple moments while having their own shining moments
art 9/10 - beautiful artwork; the eyes of the characters really just draw you in
