If you like stories that play around with the troupe of gender-bending or confusing multiple ships, this is the romantic comedy for you!
I won't go into much spoilers, because this is a simple fun read I would recommend to any romantic comedy fans!
It begins with your typical heartbreak and an explanation of ancestral curse that changes the sexes of those in Mikazuki Mao's bloodline, but the real fun part of the story is the interactions between all the characters.
Mikazuki Mao is a 16-year-old girl who feels as if she can't truly connect or find proper love because of her gender and body. After she became
...
a boy, Mao sets herself a goal to live properly as a male and even stands up for other girls, so they don't have to get hurt like she has. From the start, Mao is already a kind, relatable character, so it's understandable why so many of the other characters begin to fall for them.
When it comes to potential love interests, gender and sex is played around and it becomes fun to see who ends up with who or even how their feelings develop! You start to anticipate which relationship will deepen and who you want to root for!
Another reason why I would recommend the manga is that they go over typical misunderstanding tropes very smoothly. The characters properly clarify or cover up their story with a reasonable explanation and when it does feel sudden, it just adds more fun to the already hilarious situation.
So, if you just want to settle down with a sweet and fun romance with a gender play twist, I would recommend it!
Enjoy the bi/pansexual's fantasy!
