if you like io sakisaka's works such as blue spring ride or especially strobe edge you'll like this one as well! saku who falls for a stranger that helps her out decides to give this stranger a letter to thank him when she sees him again. when she enters highschool she meets his brother who helps her out and his kindness begins to enter her heart. the concept of helping people is in the center this time which is something else.

Unnecessary drama ruins the mid-end.

It's a Shoujo that starts with all the good points: right amount of shyness from the FL, the ML is lovely and Very honest, the initial dramatic moments are solved in a good manner and are the cliches we already know so there's not much stress on waiting for things to turn out okay.

It has everything to be a solid 8, but it sadly gets into SUPER unnecessary and extremely unnerving drama at the highest point of the story. I couldn't believe what I was reading, it was a full volume of frustrating events right when everything could be finished beautifully ... 🙃.

In the end, it's indeed a mixed feeling between recommending something that starts pretty good, but gets close to the end and throws it all down the drain. I know it'll have a happy ending, we'll see the main couple happy and emotional about their feelings being mutual, but this ending could have happened by volume 7 already and save us from all the ridiculous drama. Oh well.

As someone who really enjoyed Ao Haru Ride and Strobe Edge, I was so excited for another shoujo by Io Sakisaka. This manga definitely met expectations, with the usual fluffy, sparkly vibe and adorable romance. Sakisaka is truly talented at writing stories that appreciate even the smallest moments in life, and I think that is what draws me to her works.

For the characters, I loved the earnest FL and the kind ML. I even liked the way the side characters are written. All of the characters feel very genuine, even if we don't get much more depth to their personalities. There are some very cute ... friendships in this manga, which fits the overall vibe of the story.

I also really enjoyed the sweet, wholesome romance. It is a cute slow burn that takes its time, but feels rather natural and exciting. This manga does have a lot of classic shoujo tropes in it too, which can be good or bad, depending on your personal preferences.

As with Sakisaka's other works, I really loved the art style of Sakura, Saku. It features the recognizable fluffy and soft styles that her works often feature. It adds to the cute aesthetic of the story, making the manga feel very complete.

However, as another reviewer mentioned, there is some unnecessary drama in this manga that interrupts the ending of the story. I wholeheartedly agree that it should've been left out. The manga would be absolutely perfect if not for that.

Regardless, I still did enjoy this manga for the most part and would recommend it to fellow shoujo enjoyers.
