This is a great shoujo manga for readers who love super cute, blushy, and shy characters. The love interest in this story is a total sweetheart who is surprisingly clingy, needy, and easily embarrassed. I feel like I don't see many male love interests in shoujo with this personality type, so it was pretty fun to see.
Although the first chapter was a bit strange to me, I pulled through and overall it was worth it. The romance is so fluffy and cute, and I liked the male lead more than I thought I would. The female lead isn't bad, but she is just a

Choking on Love is the definition of exciting romance. It is a young adult love story following two creatives as they work their way through university. The romance is whimsical and spontaneous—and a bit cheesy (which I really loved). If you like clichés, you'll love this manga.
Hibari (FL) is a refreshing heroine who is a bit hard-headed, yet determined. Gaku, on the other hand is a more smooth, easy-going guy who can still be sincere when it counts. These characters are both rather eccentric, and open up each other's worlds to new views and ideas. Because of their personalities, the romance happens quickly, so there ... Jul 24, 2024

As someone who really enjoyed Ao Haru Ride and Strobe Edge, I was so excited for another shoujo by Io Sakisaka. This manga definitely met expectations, with the usual fluffy, sparkly vibe and adorable romance. Sakisaka is truly talented at writing stories that appreciate even the smallest moments in life, and I think that is what draws me to her works.
For the characters, I loved the earnest FL and the kind ML. I even liked the way the side characters are written. All of the characters feel very genuine, even if we don't get much more depth to their personalities. There are some very cute ... Jul 24, 2024

Chorokute Kawaii Kimi ga Suki is yet another fluffy story for shoujo lovers to enjoy!
To describe it quickly, this manga is incredibly cute. The romance is very sweet and wholesome, even though at first you may feel like it is superficial. Things happen fast, but the romance still builds rather naturally. It's very cute, and the characters have very likable personalities. Nana is a naive girl, and she acknowledges this about herself. It becomes a bit of a running gag, but not in an annoying way or anything. It's actually very endearing, and I love the ML's thoughts on it. He is a really ... Jul 18, 2024

She's My Knight is a very cute and lighthearted parody story that swaps the "roles" that are traditionally found in shoujo manga (the heroine needing rescuing, and the hero that rescues). It is an incredibly fun and sweet read that'll have you laughing and smiling throughout! I really loved the humor in this manga that lightly pokes fun at silly, well-known shoujo tropes. The characters were also incredibly fun, featuring a tsundere boy and a cute yet dependable girl.
There isn't really a main plot, as the manga is a bit episodic in showing how the main characters meet and become closer, but it was ... Jul 18, 2024

This manga is a lighthearted read, great for those looking for a cozy romance with an uncomplicated plot. The romance is very sweet—featuring a simple romance between two adults who are book-lovers. The romance also isn't laid on too heavy, and is pretty evenly balanced with the overall story. Even though this manga is an isekai, the plot begins rather quick and jumps right into the main point. I really liked the premise and thought that the main character was pretty relatable. Although I enjoyed the plot and pacing, I would have liked to see it expanded upon a bit, but it's not a huge

Peach Girl is the kind of story that can make you really hate it, but also still make you want to finish it. The drama is just that ridiculous, absurd, and engaging. This manga has its good points, but also has a lot of bad points, too.
As the plot summary describes, Momo is a girl who seems a bit misunderstood and is constantly targeted by her classmate Sae. All Momo wants is to have a normal high school experience and crush on boys, but jealous Sae is determined to prevent that. Sae is a character that every reader comes to hate, but that is her ... I think Kitchen Princess is a great read for those who enjoy "older" mangas. Going in, you'll know to expect a recognizable art style (the heroine has a big heart and big eyes, haha) and a level of drama that was popular with many shoujo mangas during the 90's and early 2000's. I personally love this type of melodramatic story that is full of plot twists and ridiculous characters, as it often makes me laugh from the absurdity.
I also think the overall premise is fun, as the manga includes lots of cute food themes and elements that keeps the story lighthearted even amongst some wild ... Jun 22, 2024

If you need a romance that is easy to enjoy and doesn't involve a ton of drama, this story will be a great pick. Takane no Ran-san is a very delicate, soft shoujo romance that follows a cute high-school couple as they experience many "firsts." It's so fluffy and sweet—this manga is a very wholesome read that warms the heart. It's a lighthearted, uncomplicated story that's easy to binge in one go.
The shoujo art style is very pretty, and I absolutely loved the flowery themes throughout the story. Both of the protagonists are adorable and have likable personalities, and I think both of their character ... Jun 22, 2024

"Something's Wrong With Us" is a wild ride of a story. It is suspenseful, exciting, and just bizarre. If you love mangas with crazy drama, unhinged characters, and plot twists, definitely give this one a read. I highly recommend that you read it all the way through before developing an opinion on the story or characters, as the plot has a lot of layers to it. That's one of the best parts of the story! It's a bit of a murder mystery, and I had no idea what to expect or who to pin the blame on because of the plot twists and constant revelations—but
