TW: Sexual Assault
The main plot seems good and promising, bit I couldn’t get past the second chapter after the author chose not only to add SA as a background story but also depict it for quite a few panels.
This honestly threw me off to the point of not being able to enjoy the good points of the manga anymore.
The black haired MC seems to be a pretty cute guy. Innocent, honest and earnest, which looks like a nice contrast to the other being more on the quiet side.
The art is okay and the pacing seems good for a single volume story.

Cutest plot, lovely art. Coming of age at its finest.
This story could serve as example for the childhood friends to lovers trope, especially when done in sports settings. It's a slow burn love that is presented in a very natural manner, with the characters and their context in life being the main focus at first, so we get immersed in their daily lives and naive struggles before getting to the romance. Unnecessary drama ruins the mid-end.
It's a Shoujo that starts with all the good points: right amount of shyness from the FL, the ML is lovely and Very honest, the initial dramatic moments are solved in a good manner and are the cliches we already know so there's not much stress on waiting for things to turn out okay. It has everything to be a solid 8, but it sadly gets into SUPER unnecessary and extremely unnerving drama at the highest point of the story. I couldn't believe what I was reading, it was a full volume of frustrating events right when everything could be finished beautifully ...

Racist depiction of POC.
I need to start with that because it's absolutely irrelevant to the plot and it's blatant how an author capable of drawing such beautiful characters throughout the story just chooses to depict black people in a stereotypical and racist manner. Apart from that, the plot is okay, the main characters are cute, but the progression of the relationship is a bit rushed. There's very little climax nor drama, so it's mainly a light read. Beautiful BUT TW:heavy SA and violence
The couple's relationship is perfect, it's all consensual and filled with love. The TW is for the backstory. This manga is a really great piece, beautiful art, interesting plot and fresh ambience using the 20s US as a setting. But apart from all the lovely relationship development and the great main couple, it has a VERY triggering and violent background story so I advise caution when reading the final chapters. I wish someone advised me about it, so this is why I'm writing this review. If you can't stand graphic depictions of heavy SA please skip the back story by the end of chapter ...

Way more plot than the cover shows
This is a very fluffy story about two guys who share the same hobby and end up falling for each other despite their differences and stereotypes. There’s also a nice touch to it with the plushies being really central to the story until the end, which is fresh considering other BL narratives that involve “guys that like cute things”. It’s feels a bit rushed, but you can infer from the plot that the story is rushed because one of the characters acts like that since he’s not used to what’s happening and is trying his best to be sincere and fulfill ...

It’s important that people who are sensitive to these topics to not read the manga altogether. It’s mainly a sad story, with a conflicted main character who tried his best all his life to not face his own demons. There is a shift in the plot to bring a “romantic” development, but it’s quite rushed and it’s not shown anywhere how the other guy fell in love, which would be really important since the story depicts harassment in literally ALL of their interactions, so it’d help to make sense of their relationship going from abuse to romance.
