The story is pretty simple, middle age an adopts a little girl and their daily life the end but plot twist the little girl is actually an alien princess that wants to annihilate human race and got stranded on planet earth via shenanigans. Pretty simple actually but what I love about this is how they handled their relationship, at first the guy only took take of her so that she would grow to like humanity but then transitions into a fatherly love which is pretty neat.

Art is great,outstanding character designs really captures their emotions with those big eyes and backgrounds too. When it comes to ... the characters I think a lot just got run through that never really got time to shine, while I do understand that the story got axed they still managed to make the focused characters great. The one thing I really do love about this is that after awhile Lilin acknowledges osamu his dad or adoptive dad or whatever is just really sweet.

Overall this is one of my favorites and I'm just really sad that this manga got axed because of the low sales just because it isn't some generic fantasy esekai or some rom-com with a lot of fanservice. Please if you like this manga like I do consider buying the manga to support its author.

If you want a wholesome story about lonely a lonely 26 year old salaryman with an alien daughter, then this is the right place for you.

The story is so far has some emotional moments that hit pretty hard but is overall focused on the development of the lilin(the alien daughter) and her relationship with the mc. Most chapters are pretty fluff tho.

The art looks really nice, it feels original and has nice paneling.

The characters are good too, lilin is pretty annoying sometimes but it makes sense as she was brought up pretty spoiled, it also doesn't help that shes like 5 years old.

So far ... for 22 chapters its done pretty well.

It helps fill the void in between Yotsubato releases.

It is still worth the quick read however don't go expecting a 100% coherent story with a satisfying ending.

Though it got cancelled, and thus there are still questions left unanswered, this series and its creators had nevertheless done their best to deliver on their promises. It's a simple enough plot: the story of a human taking care of an alien. Nothing groundbreaking, yet it's still full of surprises. The story and development of individual characters, mixed in seamlessly with the fun and chaotic lives that they are experiencing, is what make this story so brilliant for me. I came in expecting wholesomeness and laughter, yet left feeling much more than just that. Bitterly unfortunate that it's not more well-known, and shame it couldn't ... continue for longer.

This is my first review ᕙ(`▿´)ᕗ!!! I chose to write a review for this story because it was probably one of the most enjoyable and refreshing stories I have read in a while.

The main character, Osamu, is a somewhat generic "good-guy” –relatable and ordinary; however, this does not withdraw from the overall enjoyment of the story, and even compliments the other personalities in the series. Though I say he is generic, he stands out from most other slice-of-life, romcom protagonists as he is more than a two dimensional self-insert.

The other main character of this series is Lilin (Ririn), Osamu’s four year old-adopted daughter. ... Lilin, is the estranged princess of the planet Rabii which plans to invade Earth. After a chance encounter, Osamu decides to take care of Lilin. At first Osamu cared for Lilin so that she wouldn’t attack Earth, but eventually their relationship grows into genuine filial affection.

The story revolves around the interaction between Osamu and Lilin, as well as their interaction with their surroundings and the situation they’re in. Osamu, a man with no knowledge of how to be a parent, struggles with raising a daughter as a single parent, and Lilin, stuck in an alien world, faces the tribulations of childhood.

Aside from Osamu and Lilin, there is a diverse cast of characters: Mochida, Osamu’s love interest who works at Lilin’s daycare; Mayhew, Lilin’s crewmate who is stuck on Earth as well; and Cockatrice, a speaking bird from Rabii that can transform into a buff man. Each character is bright, funny, and purposeful.

The art for this series is phenomenal and on par with many high-ranking series. Kabatani’s unique art style accentuates the settings and characters–tactfully alternating between comical and realistic. Each panel is detailed with masterful hatching that adds a layer of texture to everything. Facial expressions are cute, funny, and capture the character’s emotions perfectly. Overall, the art is as extraordinary as the story.

Unfortunately, the series was canceled with four volumes. Towards the end of the serialization, the author was given a couple chapters to wrap up the series and many characters were left under-developed. Some characters were even introduced and then never seen again. Nevertheless, this was an enjoyable read for me and I hope to see more from the author and the artist.
