Spoiler
Whereas the prequel is a well-written and thought out story, the sequel proved much weaker and more flawed. I was really excited to see where the story would go, however was almost immediately disappointed with the first arc. Spoiler ahead:

Having both read and watched her previous work, Lovely Complex, I have to say the sequel's start reminds me of Love Com's later arcs, when the main couple has gotten together. Both series introduce new characters, whose main purposes seem only to be stealing either one of the MCs away. Thankfully, with DameKoi, it stops with the first arc. Having seen what the author is ...

Another gem from the author of Jitsu wa Watashi wa, and another absolute rollercoaster of emotions. You will laugh, cry, feel angry, happy, sympathy and much more. It's quite rare to achieve this much in just 4 volumes.

I want to focus mainly on the story here, or should i say stories. As the description said, the series consists of multiple, interconnected stories that involve different characters.

In a world where everyone wishes come true, surely that must be dream world, a "Wonderland", right? Things started off quite slow, showing the daily, comedy-filled lives of its cast. But the author brilliantly sprinkled in some off-putting ...

Although it has its moments, this is a pretty weak story. It has some serious pacing issue, and the character interactions feel very unrealistic. Minor spoilers ahead

First, pacing. The author tried and fit as much plot progression as possible into every chapter. This leads to the story feeling very rushed right from the start. Despite the subject at hand involving death, bullying, ... it failed to create a tense atmosphere that draws you in as a normal mystery would (apart from a few moments). There are twists and turns, but overall it felt like the MC was able to figure things out way too easily. ...

Though it got cancelled, and thus there are still questions left unanswered, this series and its creators had nevertheless done their best to deliver on their promises. It's a simple enough plot: the story of a human taking care of an alien. Nothing groundbreaking, yet it's still full of surprises. The story and development of individual characters, mixed in seamlessly with the fun and chaotic lives that they are experiencing, is what make this story so brilliant for me. I came in expecting wholesomeness and laughter, yet left feeling much more than just that. Bitterly unfortunate that it's not more well-known, and shame it couldn't ...

*Minor spoiler ahead*

Just an average manga. I don't quite understand how the rating made it to the 8. The main girl is selfish and pushy, and unrealistically innocent. It is almost comical how much she "just wants to be friends with everyone", to the point of desperately clinging on to that ideal. I get that she's supposed to be young and innocent, but the level to which she doesn't know things and the absolute lack of self-awareness is laughable. It also just fell into the trope of love polygon, which is a very unoriginal way of portraying relationships. It dragged on right until the end. ...
