Mysterious shops with inscrutable owners, whose customers receive only the merchandise they "deserve".

Both of these mangas are about a shop or cafe with a mysterious owner, which gets mysterious customers. These episodic manga's are about the stories connected to the customers, and sometimes to the owners. Both have a mysterious horror feeling, and both are an awesome read.

They are both considered twisted. Both main characters seems to have a series of unfortunate events where ever they go. Also in both manga not all events have a happy ending and basically both Fran and Count D. really do mean well and want to make their customers happy.

By the same creator, feature many animals posing at humans. Whom only a few can see them for what they really are mytical creatures. A light hearted story with comedy and horror elements.

People get stuff from a shop and certain things happen to them. There are also two good looking guys in the story who are main characters (Count D and Mr. Yang). A lot of twist that are witty, can be confusing, but are just awesome. I highly recommend both. They are very good. Petshop of course is animals and results in deaths a lot, and antique shop is antiques and is more along the lines of ghosts, shamans, and other things. I also think antiques has more of a story, while petshop has that repetitive take a pet, consequences of not listening to what Count  read more

Main personages are very similar. Both mangas about eccentrical policeman and his freind shopkeeper. Adekan also contains hints on shounen-ai. Both are very comical. You'll enjoy it!

Both series involve people who desire something and are aided by supernatural means. Their tales often head in the direction of tragedy as what they want tend to have negative consequences.

>Illusion of transformation of animal to human >Similar vibes because of similar old and stylised art >Similar character interactions >Similar type of lessons or conclusions

Both series delve into the supernatural aspects with a dark twist. In both works, an establishment of some sorts are present with an owner and customers. Both "owners" are mysterious and at furst glance, dark people. The series also share similar vibes themselves.

Both have a shop which deals with "interesting" merchandise. The owners of the shops are extremely mysterious, somewhat cold. They affect their customers in some sort of way. However, Petshop Of Horrors is, obviously, Josei/Horror, I Wish... is a Fantasy/Shoujo.

Both shops sell mysterious things; living dolls and dangerous pets. Which, if not cared for properly, could end badly for the buyer.

Although these are two very different stories, they do emit the same kind of ominous feeling. Both are fairly high rated and rather disturbing horror stories. While Count D is 'just' a human-hater and seems to be connected to several occasions of death, Ludwig is into necrophilia. The settings are very different though. Petshop of Horrors is set in Chinatown in America, while Ludwig Revolution is set in fairytale land where you'll meet Snowwhite, Red Little Riding Hood or Rapunzel. Both stories are definitely worth a shot!

Pet Shop at first seems to be a light manga with a dark streak, but as one completes the series they find that the message is, in essence, exactly the same as what the chillingly accurate Death Note is saying. If you like Death Note for the issues it brings to light, you'll love Pet Shop of Horrors--and vice versa.

If you thought Count D was quirky just wait until you meet Prince Ouji! For the fan of the supernatural who tend to lean towards stories with a somewhat grim undertone, these are the series' to check out. Both have quirky and fun characters and despite often dark and foreboding twists, still manage to offer a generous helping of humor along the way.

Both of these involve people with some sort of special connection to animals and involve some mystery and fantasy elements.

Both manga feature a collection of separate stories while gradually moving forward with its loose overall plot. Each chapter is a tale regarding the horrors of human nature.

Horror and the supernatural are common traits of these two series. Both main characters run shops wth supernatural themes, and only serve their customers with certian conditions in place. Also, each have chapters with contained stories.

Waraenu Douji - 108 no Gou is a episodic manga that is about a human with a certain desire, gets helped by a Zashiki Warashi. However this help doesn't have a positive spin. In this sense the manga reminds me of Petshop of Horrors, which is about humans with a certain desire, and come to the rumoured petshop for extraordinary pets... with nasty consequences...
