I'm a programmer who also writes stories. A weird combination, right?
I love Anime (duh) and my works are largely inspired by Light Novels and Visual Novels. But, I don't write any of these "wish-fulfillment" stories about super powerful derp MCs who have a harem battalion. Feel free to sue me for not caring about this deep and high quality genre.
If you like Slice of Life novels, then feel free to check my latest works:
Ehhh, it's just a score really doesn't take everything into account. Like masons for example, they aren't too powerful, but if you have a pair of masons in a game where a lot of other townies can be confirmed, then adding two more confirms makes it so the game can devolve into a PoE game, and would boost their score from like 1 to 3 (and a PoE game is no fun).
Also, it means your balancing the game and the scoring system. It seems like a waste. Just send whatever set up you have my way. Unless you really want me to play in it, I don't mind sitting out.
There are inherent flaws with that idea. Like what if the town got 2 doublevoters and the mafia got just their nightkill? Each side has two points, but that's not really balanced. Especially considering that the town will likely lynch the second doublevoter.
Roles like doublevoter are great for situations like, you have a balanced set up (1 doc 1 cop 1 godfather), but the mafia has only 22% of the population instead of 25%. It's not a huge power, but it does compensate for the population disadvantage.

I'd be game for helping balance (or at least double checking).

My response to the second line is in you pm box (on MAL)
If you must though, the safest way to do that is to throw in something for the town that the mafia would never expect.
