I’m quite disappointed in myself for tolerating this manga for as long as I did; I’ve previously read this two years ago and dropped it much sooner, but I guess nowadays I’m craving the overpowered, isekai trash I once loved. To note, this is no less or more than the term “isekai trash”; in other words, there are some redeeming qualities that make the manga palpable and engaging, but it doesn’t have all the details that make up a great manga.
Let’s start off with some of the positives: This has a somewhat good introduction and a small, small bit of world building. However, the manga’s
...
quality drastically drops off in a mere three chapters with there being no end goal in sight for main character.
The end goal, usually referred to as plot, is absolutely aimless and baseless. In thirty or so chapters, no clear baseline was set besides for the main character quickly overpowering his opponents with the classic fake struggle. There’s small subplots where there’s a villain, however, he’s barely developed and his motives still have not been established besides for being a “big meany.” With the villain, the side characters are also pretty idiotic and bland, though, the fmc is somewhat passable due to her self realizations; for the most part though, everyone spoon-feeds the mc like usual.
This is a manga that scratches the itch of a typical dense, overpowered mc, but once that itch has been scratched, it’s thrown aside since it has no other needs or purpose.
