In the beginning, there was just a lot of drama and some things didnt make sense but eventually, the drama gets better and it focuses on good issues (like how the FL is scared to get close to her friend group because shes from a different world and might return someday or how people are jealous of her)
As the story progresses I personally thought it got better. FL's relationship with every character was worth the read! Its so funny, sweet, and supportive.
I find her to be a great protagonist with realistic problems, actions, and emotions.
Also, make sure you dont ship her too much with

I love the characters and their friendships but as we've reached the 3-digit mark I've started to seen a lot of problems.
Like the amount of constant drama and angsty moments back-to-back with a very little amount of the characters just existing and being friends like the slice-of-life it advertises itself as in the tags And little niggling things like how it's said over and over again that Yeoryeong has no female friends while Dan-I has a class full of them. There are scenes where Dan-I, her friends and Yeoryeong are together talking and have been shown to be atleast acquaintances but still she has no friends ... Mar 9, 2023
Plot summary: Ham Dan-i awakens in a seemingly parallel universe -- one where she is best friends with a gorgeous main character Ban Yeoreong and several 'Kings' of her 'new' high school who all live strangely idyllic lives. She realizes she is in a world akin to an Internet Novel type story, and must choose whether she truly accepts this new life and being a "main character".
Overall score: 9/10; a personal favorite of isekai stories. Dan-i's interactions with her new world start off with a lot of anxiety and fear surrounding her situation -- a fresh realism that doesn't go away easily, and in fact ... Jul 7, 2023
The characters are sophisticated, when you first come across the characters you think they’re gonna be very trope-y but they instead feel quite real and have their own faults. it uses some cliches but never takes it too far, it’s filled with drama and plot but never gets confusing. The first 17 chapters are really just perfection like there is nothing to complain about. Also it doesn’t have any contractions in the story.
Complaints: no physical English version, in season 4 not much happened, no idea how the story is gonna flow from here. Novel isn’t done yet. Some people might not like how long it ... Sep 5, 2024
tl;dr Inso's Law/My Life as an Internet Novel is a great story of realistic characters within an unrealistic love-novel world, and that's awesome.
I've withheld writing a review for this series for a while now. Not because it was bad, but because it was too good. I tend to write a bit for stories that strike my heartstrings and Inso's Law is one of them. There are not many manhwa/manga/manhua that can successfully write loveable, goofy, yet realistic romcom characters. There's always some kind of unrealistic aspect in romcom characters, whether that be a character's denseness or pure plot armor within their world; but Inso's Law ... |
