In the beginning, there was just a lot of drama and some things didnt make sense but eventually, the drama gets better and it focuses on good issues (like how the FL is scared to get close to her friend group because shes from a different world and might return someday or how people are jealous of her)

As the story progresses I personally thought it got better. FL's relationship with every character was worth the read! Its so funny, sweet, and supportive.

I find her to be a great protagonist with realistic problems, actions, and emotions.

Also, make sure you dont ship her too much with ... any of the guys (especially a specific someone who the fans loved but turned out he was the second ML). So try not to ship her with anyone until like 70 chs pass because Dani and the ML dont get a lot of moments until later on in the series (thats the hint I'll give you :) )

I love the characters and their friendships but as we've reached the 3-digit mark I've started to seen a lot of problems.

Like the amount of constant drama and angsty moments back-to-back with a very little amount of the characters just existing and being friends like the slice-of-life it advertises itself as in the tags

And little niggling things like how it's said over and over again that Yeoryeong has no female friends while Dan-I has a class full of them. There are scenes where Dan-I, her friends and Yeoryeong are together talking and have been shown to be atleast acquaintances but still she has no friends ... and it continues like this in the novel as well.

It's overall a nice story that tackles things that aren't usually talked about but I wish so things were different in the plot/storyline

Plot summary: Ham Dan-i awakens in a seemingly parallel universe -- one where she is best friends with a gorgeous main character Ban Yeoreong and several 'Kings' of her 'new' high school who all live strangely idyllic lives. She realizes she is in a world akin to an Internet Novel type story, and must choose whether she truly accepts this new life and being a "main character".

Overall score: 9/10; a personal favorite of isekai stories. Dan-i's interactions with her new world start off with a lot of anxiety and fear surrounding her situation -- a fresh realism that doesn't go away easily, and in fact ... worsens with many of the story beats. The theme of displacement is ever present with Dan-i remaining logical and removed from a lot of the drama that occurs in this world, solely because she is aware that it is not realistic with respect to the world she grew up in. And although she keeps emotionally distant at first, the plot pushes her to connect to her new Gorgeous(TM) classmates and creates tension in her want -- and resistance -- in connecting with them. As far as the romance plotline is concerned (as this is also technically a reverse harem), expect a very slow burn and more of a slice-of-life fluffy-friendship sort of story.

TLDR; an aloof girl mixes with a world of characters that very much want to care about her, and are waiting for her to extend her hand. Watch along as she navigates what it means to look past the cover of a book she never read.
