The beginning of this manga is simple:
Tatsu, Male MC, has hair fetish
Kotoka, Female MC, has back fetish
What happens when they are attracted to each other’s hair or back?
... Tatsu and Kotoka become a couple <3

Along the way, there will be some side characters such as friends or family members that have different fetishes as well.

For me though, what makes this manga special is its own way of displaying affection toward each other. Sometimes, I might feel that they were simply complimenting each other’s hair or back; however, those are just signs for some upcoming light grenades (filled with maple syrup) to show the audience how they truly LOVE each other (even without each other's hair or back)… RIP my eyes and my teeth.


What to expect:

Character: 8 (character development isn’t the core of this manga, but it’s alright)
Enjoyment: 10 (Too sweet, definitely a good read when you need sugar and to de-stress)
Overall: 9 (A great read for people searching for Romcom)

So, this is my first review ever, and I feel compelled to write this for anyone who wants to start this, don't. Seriously, save yourself the trouble and just don't.

Starting off with the art and visuals, the artist is super talented. The art is beautiful, the designs for everyone are great and every chapter has amazing shots. Unfortunately, the talent department is lacking majorly when it comes to writing.

The intial 30-40 chapters are pretty solid, even a 7-8/10 on average. But then for some reason I cannot fathom, the artist starts this insanely stupid character arc which extends to literally the end of ... the first "season". One of the characters turns into an absolute child, and no one acknowledges this, literally no one. The blame is laid on the other character despite not being the fully responsible party for the absolute shitshow that is the second half of the first story.

The most annoying thing is, the end of the arc doesn't even resolve anything. The characters basically learn nothing, get even more stupid and it just ends with that as the status quo. I initially looked forward to new chapters, but after that arc started I just dreaded each new chapter. The only thing keeping me from dropping it was hope that the arc might end well and then carry on from there, but those hopes sank faster than the Titanic.

I've dropped the manga at the start of "season" 2 as I don't want to get invested in new characters knowing how this artist writes.
tl;dr Save yourself the frustration and just go find something better to read.

When one asks “What do you like on your boyfriend/girlfriend the most?”
“His back!” or “Her hair!” is certainly not an answer one would anticipate. This manga has this kind of extra twist – the main couple being fetishists.

The drawings are beautiful; the character designs are beautiful and the artistic detail on hair is also beautiful, given its focus on hair fetishism. There is a lot of situations with opportunity to draw the characters in outfits and various poses (especially girls) to show even more beautiful drawings. Every panel is truly a piece of art.

The manga searches for ways to get the couple together, but is ... very slow; some chapters even feel irrelevant. It gets boring pretty quickly overall. On the bright side, it has some truly heartwarming moments and even some spicy romantic interactions. Aside from that, the story is pretty generic based on rom-com standards.

The whole manga is divided into two stories, pretty much equally long. Like most people who have read it, I also prefer the first story much more than the second. Remaining good with the visuals, the second story is just more empty and has much more visible flaws that are present in the first one. Later it reintroduces the characters from the first story, which may bring a bit of familiarity and renew interest to read further.

Nothing is really that much special about this manga. With only one very weird quirk at hand, it offers virtually nothing new. You may want to check it out for the artistic value, but not really for the story; especially the second one.

What you just read is a simple summary of what happens in the first chapter of this Manga, "Fechippuru". If you thought "Fechippuru" means *"What I like about you or Our Innocent Love"* as the English title seems to suggest, then all I want to say is that, it's not as innocent as it sounds. "Fechippuru" means a "Couple in love because of their fetishes" and that basically describes the entire premise, so let's start with Art style.

- Art Style
The art ... style looks really clean, is what I thought when I read the first chapter. The author might have some hair fetish cause god damn! He really knows how to draw silky hair. The female character-designs really get to shine in this Manga, well that's kinda typical for a romance setting but still worth the praise. Since the Manga dwells on fetishes, it uses it to it's fullest advantage by showing some really well drawn hair, backs and expressions, but the full effect can only be seen in the single page moments, like the ones I showed above. In the Yonkoma format, you can't really see the it's full appeal considering the size, so the Manga uses it for the gags/comedy.
Now with this being said, I can finally start the talking about the heart & soul of the Manga. The "Story".

- Story
If you've seen the Manga cover, read the summary and thought, "Maybe it's about these two adult looking man & woman's love story and their fetishes", well you aren't completely right. Because halfway through, the story shifts it's focus to different characters. Simply put, there are two different stories in this Manga.
Story 1/First half is about romcom between "Tatsu", a 23 year old who have a hair fetish and "Kotoka", a 23 year old (& a month older than Tatsu) who have a back fetish, and they started to like each other because of these fetishes but their relationship changes while they start to grow as characters. Story 2/Second half is about a high school love triangle between a fetish trio; "Mugi" with smell fetish, "Miori" with 'little ones' fetish (Don't worry as it isn't anything illegal, so far) and "Noi" with hair fetish. I haven't completely read it but as of now, their are have been some strong changes in their relationships and starting to see each others more than objects to satisfy their fetishes.

[Story 1/*The Adult Romcom* (Chapter 1 - 73)]

Tatsu and Kotoka's story had 3 phases in the entire runtime.
1. The Funny gag intro
2. The Cringey comedy middle
3. The Romcom Drama end

The funny gag intro is just as it sounds. It introduces all it's characters, fetishes and relations between each other. The fetishes are something I don't really see going this much into a relationship and there are quite a lot. Back, Hair, Hands, Legs & Voice. It shows what these looks like as silly as possible, with some funny gags and jokes that work out pretty well. For the most of the time I thought, "Hahaha.. This guys are hopeless".
Then comes the cringey comedy middle, and while it hints for some progression, it's comedy part was a little unsettling to read like how they 'indulge' themselves in each of their fetishes that it felt really gross & disgusting at times. "These are f&#%ing hopeless!", is what I thought. But the good thing here, is where I really started to acknowledge them as characters, and just some plot machines that exist only to deliver a joke that can you can forget the next few minutes.
And then comes the Romcom drama part, and this is where the series really shines, in-terms of story and art as well. The gags are slightly reduced as now we focus on characters who are willing to change, showing some growth and tackling obstacles to make their relationship, healthy. Getting to like someone just because of one of their body parts, didn't really sit well me and the fact that these two working adults started living together just to satisfy their fetishes felt worryingly bad. But thankfully, this drama section answered all those concerns I had, they started to see the other person more than just their hair/back and this is really rewarding to watch, so much so that I don't mind giving this story a "8/10". I realized how much my jaws hurt me because of how big of a smile I had while reading this.

[Story 2/*The Highschool Trio* (Chapter 74 - 147)]

For the fetish trio/high-school love triangle tho, I haven't read their complete story yet but so far there are only two phases in the story.
1. The intro comedy phase
2. The drama phase

The comedy at the early chapters will entertainment & also give everything you need to know about the main characters three-some relationship, it's as simple as you expect from every high school romcom you've probably seen so far except with a fetish twist. And the drama phase will take things a little seriously as for who needs to end with the main guy, it's almost like a harem. Except now, we also have another fetiple outside the main characters where the boy has glasses fetish and the girl have a bondage fetish.
Now this story is really problematic cause not only it's boringly dumb but it also takes away all the magic the first story had by repeating the same jokes and drama elements all over again, making it look pale in comparison. The art, and the the cameo appearance of the first couple in this story are the only reasons this story is still going strong cause there isn't anything interesting anymore, unless you are rooting for someone. Weak storyline, repeated jokes that range from 'cringe' to 'mildly funny' and drama as boring as every other highschool romcom which is slightly interesting, makes me give this a "6/10" so far. It's a shame cause it really had a complete & solid story in it's first half but ruined it by prolonging the manga and adding another average high school story. While this story fits with the basic premise & explores a little how it would be among highschool students, it's just not satisfying to read anymore.
Not sure how far story 2 can go, but it's quite reasonable if you ended up dropping this at chapter 73, i.e., the end of story 1. Story 2 is really isn't anything special or great and I surely didn't enjoyed it as much as story 1, but it's 'not bad' actually. It's just not as satisfying in comparison to story 1.
To give an analogy, this is slightly equivalent to **Death Note** Anime. Sure, the second half isn't as great & enjoyable as the first half, but it's still not bad and also had a good ending. While I still haven't read the ending for this Manga yet, I do hope it to end on a goo note.

- Summary
An amazing first half ruined by an unnecessary second half, but still worth the read for the highly recommendable first half.

- Update
I've completed it and I think you're better of skipping the 2nd story. The love triangle relationship was so boring and fell apart real quick. The art is there but everything else... Nah.
Story 1 - 8/10 (Solid)
Story 2 - 4/10 (Pretty Bad)
Overall - 6/10 (Above Average)

Fetiple, a comedy romance manga about a girl who has a fetish for back and a guy who has a fetish for long hair.

Story: I really loved the story at all, how they met, how are their daily routine with problems because of the fetishes, etc.

Art: The art is great, the character designs and backgrounds are beautiful, not something new but very well done.

Character: All the characters are very funny, everyone has a different fetish: Hands, legs, back, hair, sound. The female MC’s interaction with the male MC's family members is divine. Every character is well developed.

Enjoyment: I was so into it that I read ... everything in one day, I would asume this was the day I stayed most time reading. Also, as I said, the interaction of the characters in super fun and that’s what made me enjoy so much it.

Overall: This has become one of my favorite romance of all time, I really recommend taking a shot on it.

Fetiple/Fechippuru
Genre: Romcom

First off, I'd like to preface this by saying that this is written purely with respect to season 1. I do not plan to read season 2, as it just hasn't appealed to me and it's removed the one thing that kept me invested (which I will address below).

I really enjoyed this series' setup: two shameless perverts with oddly specific fetishes falling for each other and eventually forming a truly strong bond beyond satisfying superficial preferences.

The series' characters are, without a doubt, its best parts. Each character, no matter how big a role they play, is interesting, unique, and likable. The two main characters ... are absolute idiots who are difficult to believe at a time, but I can't say that this bothered me most of the time. I also can't say that I hated any character, which is hard to pull off.

This is a SERIOUSLY heartwarming story. The couple interactions are a pure joy, and I couldn't help but smile through the entirety of the series. I love everything about the relationship between Kotoka and Tatsu, and it's wonderful to watch their relationship slowly develop over the course of season 1. Other characters' interactions with them are great for the most part as well, and often add to the central relationship in interesting ways.

The story itself is volatile, sometimes being comedic gold and sometimes dragging on. The series' drama is easily its weakest point, with one arc near the ending in particular overstaying its welcome. I think that it disappointed somewhat in the later chapters (40+) with a mediocre arc that dragged on for way too long, and an ending to the "first season" that really should have been an ending to the series as a whole.

For clarification on what I mean by "Seasons": The series' "first season" ended in chapter 72, after which it wiped the slate clean by introducing entirely new characters in an entirely new setting. I didn't like this at all, and quite frankly, I wish the author had focused on the "season 1" material a little bit more before ending the series as a whole. The reason for this is because, as I said before, the characters are the best part of the series. While I love new characters, I was disappointed to see the series continue without finishing a few plot threads and further developing the existing ones. I can't speak to season 2's quality as very little of it is currently available, but I don't particularly care for it either. For me, this series ended in Season 1.

It's a nice, typical romance story with some comedy sprinkled in and a fetish twist, but the fetish merely adds to the enjoyment and unique aspect of this manga.

A lot argue that the story took a turn badly at the 40th chapter range, but it is simply a classic drama plot placed in for the sake of boosting sales, nothing more than a publication request leading to its addition, you may or may not like it but take it at face value and evaluate yourselves.

The art is very well done, the artist is consistent throughout and makes really great scenes, from outfit to, obviously, HAIR. ... The characters are built up a little but ultimately have no real exceptional details that need to be mentioned

However, they added a spinoff romance story after the initial couple, which is why i stopped before the latest chapter as I had no interest in them. But overall this manga is quite well done and makes for a quick, satisfying read.

I honestly expected a Tsurezure Children, adult version, about couples and fetishes. The concept is very interesting, as I like exploring these types of stuff. I enjoyed the relationship between the main couple a lot, as they learn to love each other despite the weird fetishes they have. But this manga went downhill when they introduced more girls that we don't even need. Why even make a monogamous relationship, when they could've just made a harem story, so I could just pass it and not even bother to read it. OR JUST MAKE A CHARACTER WITH NTR FETISH TO JUSTIFY IT. (Which they do in ... the second part)

There's so much missed potential about this manga, but they decided to butcher it by adding the worst thing that "romance" anime and manga have.

Fetiplle or Fechippuru is about couples that love each other due to fetishes.

Although it may sound weird this has become my favorite manga to date. It has pretty fleshed out characters and I really liked it because of that. This story is pretty unique as it dives into a weird topics but somehow manages to not weird you out but instead to keep you entertained. Then we have the art style and let's just say it is really beautiful as it captures every scene. As for enjoyability I think people would really like this manga if they tried it out.
