Kentarou san?
〃(♡▽♡〃) EEEECCCHIIII
Gender Bender?
Doesn’t Matter!
Ayakashi?
OH YES BABY! You mean potential creatures that will have tentacles or liquids that melt clothes. OWO
...
Story & Characters: 6/10 (Story isn’t the key reason I read Kentarou’s work. As long as it has “females” in the story, this is a standard 6. Be warned though, the story is gonna digress. But, who cares? :P)
Art: 20/10 (Those Curves. Oh Babyyyyyyyyy~~ I AM COMINGGGGGGGGGGGGG!!!!!. )
Enjoyment: ROCK SOLID HARD ;) 10!! Reading Kentarou san's work is not merely an enjoyment. It is a passion!
Overall: 8
Flipping through Kentarou san’s work is like reading the sacred texts of Ecchi. If you have never fantasized about Japanese high school girls, this is a great place to start.

Do not drop this manga after reading the first chapter~~!!! Don’t be like my past self!!!
Concerns:
-The art style of this manga isn’t top tier like some others.
-The beginning of the manga is boring.
-Why should I keep on reading?
If you have those thoughts in mind, you are just like my past self.
Answers:
-Indeed, the art isn’t top tier; however, the art will be a lot cleaner.
-Yes. Art is important. But… the strongest suit of this manga is its creativity in the STORYLINE. Even though it does contain a lot of elements from other stories/manga style, the plot of the manga is hella unique since the plot
...
is unpredictable and original~
-You want to read this because this is a manga that sparks smiles, boiling blood from veins, and even a lil “warmth” inside your heart.
Story & Character: 10
Art: 7
Enjoyment: 10
Overall: 9
P.S. Just like someone else mentioned in the review, if you still dislike this manga after reading past chapter 3, then it is safe to say that this manga isn’t for you :) Happy reading!

What the hell!? This is not the normal fantasy that I have been reading!? No ecchiness. No heroes seeking revenge or victory. None of those flashiness and cliche plots.
Only about life, death, and memory. Bittersweet.
In this manga, we are going to see how Frieren, an elf, deals with the "unfortunate" immortality inherited from her race and the memories she made through a seemingly never-ending life journey.
It has been a long time since I kinda teared up while reading a manga. Goosebumps.
P.S. The first chapter of this manga hits me like a truck as if the time I finished "Sayonara no Asa ni Yakusoku no Hana
...
wo Kazarou". Even till now, 31 chapters in, this manga never ceases to amaze me with its subtle yet profound story planning and the amount of onions it offers.

Past & Current / Love vs Amnesia/ Mystery & Suspense
Imagine yourself standing in front of your lover or a person you secretly admired. But today, there is something peculiar about the person. He/she has a completely different personality (with no past memory) and you can never change his/her personality back. Will you still love the familiar stranger?
!!!Minor Spoilers!!!
Story: 9
If you have watched a movie called “The Vow”, it has a similar vibe to it; moreover, in the current state, vines of mysteries and suspense is going to crawl over your brain as the story progresses.
Since this manga is relatively new, I will give it a
...
-1 for potential error; however, I have huge optimism for Mayuzuki’s work since she just completed a fantastic manga piece prior to this one.
Art: 10
The time-lapse style of drawing certain scenes and the Hong Kong-ish background/setting make it a magnum opus for this category :) So many details. Love it!
Characters: 9
Kujirai/ Kujirai
Kudou
Side character:
The Doctor
The character development is far from over, but we can see the character’s layers being peeled slowly as the story progresses.
Enjoyment: 10
Whenever I see this manga updates, I click.
Overall: 9
For readers who are impatient or first time reading Mayuzuki’s work, I have to warn that the manga’s story is relatively slow-paced and can be unpredictable. You have be to patient with the storyline. On the other hand, if you have read “Koi wa Ameagari no You ni” and loves that manga, then you shouldn’t be worried. Mayuzuki’s story telling is extremely detailed oriented and you won’t regret your decision by following this manga. But, the only common theme between this and her previous word only overlaps in the "romance" aspect. Other than that, these two works are extremely different from each other.
Enjoy the “fine dining” experience with this manga~
P.S. If someone is having a hard time distinguishing present and past, check out if Kujirai is wearing her earrings.

Before reading this manga, I knew I have to prepare some tissues. But, I didn’t expect using all of them to wipe my tears.
Story: 9 (Sophisticated, alluring, context-filled, plot-twists, and straight to the point. What you can ask for more? Each chapter has its own story and isn't related to each other. Since I don’t really like chapter 1, I will give it a -1)
Art: 10 (Those curves and eyes *Gasp*. This female artist got some skills…)
Character: 10 (Whenever each chapter begins, ivies seem to have climbed through the computer screen and tried to drawn me in as if I am part of the story.
...
Never have I emotionally invested in these characters while reading such type/genre )
Enjoyment: 10 (Extremely impressed, on my follow list for sure)
Overall: 9.5 (Salute to this female manga artist. If this becomes animated, I am definitely watching it with tissues prepared again.)

Food & Scenery/ Sex & Love/ Suicidal & Meaning of Life
“Most things in this world can be solved with money.” (Phrased from Yukionna, Chapter 7/ Page 9)
Legitimate statement. Yet, it also raises two important questions.
What if the problem you are facing can’t be solved with the money you possess?
What if you don’t even have the money to solve any single problem?
With these two questions confronting Kita (Male MC) and Ayame (female MC), their paths intertwine. And just like that, the road trip of “absolutely no return”, or aka. “after eating Hokkaido crab then die”, begins.
...
!Minor Spoilers!
This isn’t a manga for “delightful" experience. It is going to make you reflect upon life and society.
Story: 9
I don’t want to comment too much on this category since I really want you guys to read it. But, the vibe of this storyline is beyond mesmerizing. Yet, I still have to give this manga a -1 for potential fluctuation.
Characters: 9
Main MC:
-Kita: Social outcast with no money.
-Ayame: Rich wife with a seemingly unhappy marriage.
Honorable mention:
-Maria
Character development is definitely on point so far. As the story continues, more layers of each character have been slowly revealed. But, the character development is far from over. Thus, -1 for potential error.
Art: 10
Love this mangaka. When you realize that the artist put a ton of effort into drawing those eyes, detailed backgrounds, and delicious food, you know this category deserves a 10! The depictions of those contours… Mamma Mia!
Enjoyment: 10
I starved myself so that I could read this manga without stopping. Then, I treated myself with some crab sticks.
Overall: 9~9.5
Due to the theme of this manga, I am extremely sure that this manga isn’t meant for younger audiences (under 18).
For me though, this manga is fantastic as if I just had a wine tasting session :)

No one can ever live a perfect life.
For something to be perfect, there is always an ending to it.
Just think about it, how can you ever know you are living THE life or THE moment when you have never experience ups and downs?
Using myself as an example, I wouldn’t have appreciated those “perfect” past moments or “true happiness” without some comparisons from the personal lows.
!!!Also, if you are thinking of committing suicide, please call a lifeline since you are truly precious.

Let’s be real. I know why you plan to/click on this manga. :P
But… is this worth 30 minutes of your time?
If you can spare those minutes for relaxation —> Yeah
If you have this manga open and your girl is asking you to f***—> o.O??? Of course not...
If you are as tired as the male MC —> Hell no and please go to sleep...
Minor Spoiler!
Story: 7
...
Slice of life with NO SEX. The female MC is the most saint-like succubus I have read in my whole life. It makes me wonder if succubi nowadays are virgins.
Art: 9
After completing this manga, I did some research. Seems like this guy is a sensei at drawing “hentai”. No wonder my tiny brain was pretty unsettled throughout these 22 chapters.
Oh yeah. The reason I give this category a -1 is because of the eyebrows of the succubus. I literally can’t focus on the main content whenever the eyebrows are that THICC.
Enjoyment: 5
My big brain thinks its ok, like a meh reaction. My tiny brain is also extremely unsatisfied.
Overall: 7
Ok. At least this manga isn’t a clickbait.
P.S. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE JUST GET MARRIED

An absolutely BORING Isekai story
But…
Somehow…
An AMAZING illustrator turns this into a gem…

This is a harem story by the way.

I was wrong though x( Took me 30-somethingish chapter to figure out.

Whenever I finish this manga, it causes me to want to smash
(1) Next chapter button, but there isn’t any
(2) Computer screen, since this manga updates like a slow turtle.
(3) Roxanne, she hawt (.)_(.)
On a serious note, this manga illustrator is a true savior for this kind of storyline. Give this illustrator a huge raise please~

Slice of life of living together as a couple
Just like a milk pudding, this manga is simple but sweet; however, the more puddings you are given to read, the more pudding you will crave.
¡Caution!
For readers who are single and are fervently craving for a partner, this manga’s sweetness has sufficient intensity to blind you whenever you read it. Thus, please wear your sunglasses whenever you read this manga.
Story: 8.5
Simple, yet that is how love stories usually are. However, the story flows well and is creative.
...
Art: 7
I will say the art is a tiny bit mediocre. There can still be a lot of improvements since the depictions of the emotions can sometimes be a little stiff and unexpressive~~ I am looking forward for more improvement in this category.
Characters: 7
With this kind of manga, the scoring will only be focused on the male MC and female MC (side characters don't have a ton of roles). I still haven’t seen a lot of characters’ development since the manga is quite new, and each chapter is rather short. As a result, -3 for now as it can still fluctuate whenever new chapters come out.
Enjoyment: 10
Put my sunglasses on and finished all the available chapters =D
Overall: 7.5-8
So much potential!! I am going to ride on this manga train and see where it takes me :)
P.S. The concept of this manga is similar to “Karakai Jouzu no Takagi-san”. But, I haven’t picked up “Karakai Jouzu no Takagi-san” for a while since there is an “age-gap”ish vibe whenever I read it. For me, this is a perfect substitution for “Karakai Jouzu no Takagi-san”

Suspenseful Romance / Dark temptation
orig chapter 22 -> *edit chapter 62
!!Minor or Major spoiler!!
A man and his daughter’s friend… (shhhhh)… you imagine…
Have you wished or ever wish that you can commit an action without thinking about the consequence?
For this, the answer should be yes.
But… why didn’t you or most of you follow through? And why not?
...
Perhaps, due to social norms and expectations, you decide that committing something risky isn’t worth breaking your tranquility or reputation.
Yet, for this manga, something is different, unusual, and even unsettling. The age gap and violation of social consensus are the elements that create the ambiance of dark temptation.
Story: 7.5
I love the plot of the story. Even though the story itself is relatively simple (-1)(since there is no need for innovative background setup), it is so dark, yet mesmerizing. No law prohibits a man from loving his own daughter’s friend or his own daughter’s friend from loving him; however, as a result of the norms and expectations, this love isn’t right and shouldn’t occur in the first place.
The story flows well, and almost every chapter ends with suspense. Nevertheless, because it is relatively new, -1.5 on potential error (huge deviation on this one as the man’s daughter can cause a huge fluctuation on the story rating). But as for now, the story is actually decent.
Art: 8
Not the best as the background can be bland, and the art style can be a little more detailed and clean. But, it is better than normal for sure and won’t hinder my enjoyment of reading this manga piece.
Characters: 8 or 10
There are three main characters in this story + a huge side character
1. [Dad]
Not-so-perfect dad who didn’t know how to deal with his familial situations, and a workaholic who turned out to be extremely stressed about his job
2. [Daughter]
Had to endure with her mother’s death and deal with dad’s “seemingly apathetic” attitude.
3. [Daughter’s friend]
Forced to be her mother’s version of a “perfect” daughter. A caged bird that want to be free.
4. THE side character -> [Daughter’s friend’s mom]
Basically a near-exact replica of the mom from “Chi no Wadachi”…
The characters do have backgrounds and motives that cause them to act a certain way. As the story goes on, the mangaka is able to add on more layers on top of the characters. Yet, there can still be fluctuations as there will be more side characters come into play so I will give it a conservative 8 for this category.
Enjoyment: 10 -> 6
I finished 22 chapters immediately without hesitation. Literally felt goosebumps and wanted to shout “Holy S**T” at the end of every chapter.
*Unsatisfied ending drops the score by a lot
Overall: 8.5 -> 7
Personally, this is a must-follow on my manga list. Period. However, I understand that this manga is not suitable for all the manga readers since it is completely going to fend off the readers who are conservative.
This will not be a mainstream manga, and it is impossible to get an animation adaptation out of this due to its theme.
HOWEVER, this manga is special for readers who love this particular niche or category (the scandalous or the dark side of society).
________________________________________________________
*
Having followed this manga since the very beginning, it is sad that middle-to-end story line and the ending didn't match up with the hype of the beginning. Perhaps, due to controversies coming from the Japanese society's perception toward this manga (as expected), I personally feel that the mangaka just couldn't dish out the story that he originally wanted. Everything in the end feel a bit too predictable, which is drastically different from the original reading experience. Also, the open-ended finish of this manga definitely shows that it is up to us to decide what will happen to them, which means that it will generate less controversies since one sided conclusion will garner polarized opinions (extremely uncharacteristic of how I feel when I started reading this manga due to the fact that this manga is trying to show the society of what if things don't go as planned)
Fantastic start. Great Beginning to mid. Predictable and dull mid to end. Unsatisfied and disappointing ending. I will give it a 7
