After the previous two installment I was happy to know there was a 3rd one still ongoing, and since the two endings were honestly fullfilling, I expected to see exactly a follow up to that "I want more" both characters were so set on, however I was proven wrong.
If you've come for more Nana to Kaoru you'll get it but not entirely, at best you'll get it partially, because the only thing you can say it's the same as before is the cast (and I mean only by appearence)
Clearly, after over 200 chapters of build up to these events, I can't help but compare the

tldr: One step forward and five steps back. DON'T read it. It ruins what has come before. It undermines character development and lessens the overall story. It's a waste of time. Nana to Kaoru, to me, has always been somewhat special. The manga has been around for quite a few years and I have the original and black label on my shelf so I am quite invested into what happens with these two. I didnt expect there to be a sequal since I felt that Black Label left of at a very high note where one could ... Aug 24, 2021
I am reading the english online releases because I truly feel that this "Nana to Kaoru" is not worth money. I am actually disgusted by what happens in chapter 24 and the chapters leading up to it. Having already been on the fence as this read like a weak shoujo, I still tried to give it a chance as it seemed to develop similar to "Black Label" but I am appalled by what this mess of a manga has become- it is not the same characters or story. Add to that the random/!very! sudden and heavily forced actual NTR with Nana going fully along with

As a fan of the two previous mangas, I have to say that this one has disappointed me.
That doesn't mean I didn't like it, but I expected more and it also makes certain mistakes that make me and many other fans not like it as much. Forced situations, the truth is that this already happened in previous ones, but at least there was a coherence in the feelings of the characters. The Nana to Kaoru Black Label manga was already a good ending, this has been unnecessary and should be taken more as an alternative ending, since it seems to omit Black Label situations. It's not all bad ... Oct 15, 2022

I'm gonna go away from the norm here and say, despite agreeing with the other reviews, if your a NtK fan, you HAVE to read this. Cause it does conclude the story at the end, and does gives you the ending that you probably wanted. But first, having the first 7 chapters being before Black Label throws me off, I couldn't even enjoy
The Tachi candle wax "breather"
because I just wanted to get through it, to reach the post-BL chapters. So my suggestion is, Read NtK, read the first 7 chapters of Last Year, read BL, then read the rest of ... Nov 26, 2022
Amazume sensei really has refined his style and it's perfect to show how both Nana and Kaoru come to face themselves, gaining an understanding of their inner selves and the security that comes with it. The conclusion of the saga is really also a conclusion of their adolescence and a proper entrance into adulthood, a satisfying ending that shows all of their growth. The characters naturally go towards this ending as if it was meant to them since the very beginning, and still they gain depth to themselves by doing so, especially Sarashina and Tachibana (and our MCs of course).
