If you liked the first part you will like this one even more. This is where the meat of the game was and the adaptation is doing a great job translating the game to a non interactive medium.
Animation quality is in my opinion better then season one and the show knows when to go all out.
Soundtrack is always on point and even better utilized then in season one.
The story does stay pretty much on course with a few deviations that were already setup in part one. Fans of the game might enjoy that there's plenty of side story/novella content being adapted that ...

tldr: One step forward and five steps back. DON'T read it. It ruins what has come before. It undermines character development and lessens the overall story. It's a waste of time.
