People who don't expect nature to be harsh and cruel end up in all sorts of rough situations, be it finding themselves stuck while injured, or causing another tragedy involving materialistic damage. These manga are about training and going into the field to solve those kind of casualties in the best way possible, though loss and pain are part of the job. 

Large portion of the story is set on sea, diving is a common theme. MC is a young guy who has charisma and can make great decisions, but the world does not always revolve around him. <> Waga Na wa Umishi: Action, Drama more towards SOL (but not compared to true SOL); Leviathan: Horror & Survival 

Two boys who like to dive in deep waters. They occasionally tend to overestimate themselves, even when they know they have limits to their own prestations. Diving's no joke! 

Two long manga focused on a young man who is brilliant in making decisions on the spot. They are reckless of nature, putting themselves in danger to save others. They brutally encounter their own limits during their missions. *Similar story progression, length, character population. *Both MCs have a certain charisma to pull along all others in their vicinity. 

both mangas about Sea rescues .although Tokkyuu about rescuing people, and Waga na wa Umishi about rescuing ships. 

Same vibe. Male protagonist becomes infatuated with climbing mountains/salvaging ships. Same type of hurdles and atmosphere. 

Their characters and plots resemble somewhat to each other. Rintarou and Rock both fall into an adventurous 'trade', whether it's salvaging or shipping (or rather smuggling) on sea, riding old ships. Anyway, we have hot chicks in each: Hiro and Revy, both cursed with dark past and scars of unfriendly childhood (literally, ho-ho...). The sidekicks are also cool and nice guys, please pair them up as you wish, my guess is the following: the omniscient Sawa-chan is tally of Dutch, and 'Gramps' of Benny, but there is not perfect similarity. Anyway, both story is unique and awesome in sense of adventure, interesting quests and loveable characters, worthy of reading!  read more
