TLDR; if you're into genben SAO, cute art and a paper thin, unsatisfactory, incomplete story, this read is a good one.
Characters: The characters were simply introduced without any background, and there was no time given to familiarize and empathize with them. The main characters had backstories that were paper thin. Some characters were so forgetful, by the last chapter I had no recollection of at least 3 characters presented. In fact, all of the supporting side characters share this trait of "XYZ is <role>. They were friends in the past (or some equally bland intro)" etc. The character development... does not really exist. I

would have liked to see more about the elder brother and how Kanata grew into his (her) own person.
Genben content: Starts off a bit weak but really picks up the pace in the last 10 or so chapters, genben enthusiasts will enjoy.
Story: Concepts were being introduced all over, then just straight up left alone, because "Aliens" is the best answer to everything. A proper resolution to Hinaka's story, how Kanata got his (her) surface, and what happens to any other character is left a mystery. The ending feels rushed, almost as if the author burned out and just decided to "finish" it.
Art: The sole reason why I'm rating this an 8

It's fairly surprising that this is the author's fourth piece of work. They characters are all superbly cute, and the fancy background scenes are well done. My only qualms about this are how in certain panels the faces look a bit off, and the bust sizes of some characters.
Do make sure you read this privately, as this is most definitely ecchi.
Overall, I think the story had a ton of great potential, but that potential ended unexploited, and had enough material for at least another 3 volumes. As another review said, this is pretty much SAO but with genben and an ending that can't exactly be called an ending.
Give sequel pls Ohmori sensei.
