well, its not exactly the same but while i'm reading Running on Empty its somehow reminds me of Totally Captivated...dont know why but its probably because of the BL genre and because the stories both involve mafia and loan-shark... A warning though...Totally Captivated has a more heavy Yaoi scenes than Running on Empty...

In both BL manga, the protagonists go on a life-changing road-trip.

Even though CUT is a yaoi and is more explicit than RUNNING ON EMPTY, both of these stories show how two people with troubled pasts are able to come together and, in a way, complete each other. Both sets of lovers help each other to find themselves. CUT feels darker than RUNNING ON EMPTY but both are sure to tug at ones heartstrings at least once during the plot.

We have an MC who is facing a personal crisis in his life, when he's suddenly abducted by an unknown man. While on the run from the law, both these guys develop a strong bond between them, which could also be viewed as an extension of Stockholm Syndrome.

Done by the same manwha author- running on empty has light BL but Teen spirit focuses more on the lives and struggles of the boys and is not romantic

They are really different but they remind me of each other too. In seven days there's no road trip but it has to do with these two guys. One of them is this really cute guy who always gets a girlfriend and gets dumped for not being what THEY thought he was like. The other guy is a year younger and every week he says yes to the first person who asks him out. Then he gently breaks up with her after 7 days and the girl is never mad.So the older one asks hi out as a joke and to his suprise they really  read more

These two titles deal with themes concerning finding escape from life's hardships in the sanctuary of a relationship, although the issues presented in 'Running on Empty', such as suicide, take a darker tone. Both titles feature a relationship with some welcome lighthearted moments developing between a high school student and a slightly older man, though 'Honki Ja Neekara' swings into yaoi territory. Both highly recommended.

In the simplest terms, they are both shonen-ai manhwa with similar art styles. Running on Empty and Let Dai give off the same atmosphere for the reader. Basically, two males slowly become drawn to each other, while they are struggling against society. Psychological problems are reoccurring in both, as well as themes of suicide. The couples are both running away from the real world, whether in an indirect or a direct way. The beach even symbolizes a calm setting in both manhwa. You will find that a combination of angst and delight is presented the same in both Let Dai and Running on Empty. You  read more
