<3 one piece as well. All 500 something eps of it. Have you seen the anime? How would you say it compares to the manga? i usually just watch anime, but recently ive been getting into manga, so thought i might tackle my fav series of all time. btw, seems like we share quite a few animes in common. I love Hunter X Hunter and FMA:B as well, but Code Geass and One Piece are still my fav. Have you watched H X H (2011)? i like the 1999 version better, but im watching it anyway, hoping it'll continue on longer than the 1999 version did.

Yeah, I don't blame them, it is extreamly long!
I've been watching it since I was a kid though, so I guess no one had to con me into it, but I kinda had to con myself into reading it, to fill in gaps I missed inbetween alabasta and thriller park >.> n_n'

I see that you have LOGH on your plan to watch list. If you don't mind I would like to reccomend http://myanimelist.net/anime/3014/Legend_of_the_Galactic_Heroes:_My_Conquest_Is_the_Sea_of_Stars before you watch the series its the prequel movie to the series. You could also watch overture to a new war after that its like a extended better version of the first two episodes of the series. I made the mistake of not watching The conquest movie first so I was lost in the first few episodes but it still kept my interest at a high. Your in for one of hell of a ride though lol
