Isekai except this time it's Kingdom Administration.
A Japanese guy about to start university is summoned to another world through a hero spell except this time, instead of being a warrior, he becomes the king and shows his talents as an administrator. There are a few similar titles like this, but the simplest comparison is the episode in No Game No Life when Sora and Shiro take care of all the Kingdom's problems by rotating crops, cleaning up government, etc.
Like a lot of other Isekai stories that don't solely focus on battle, the MC knows an absurd amount of very convenient things (like how to manage

It's your basic Isekai, but instead of being an overpowered adventurer or something similar, the main character becomes a king. Souma the main character (like all Isekai protagonists) has the superpower of convenience. He is able to remember pretty much every little detail needed to run a country. Sure he is a college student who studies this kind of stuff, but even then his memory is godlike.
Souma is transported to a kingdom that is going through a lot of troubles, so the king of that country hands Souma the crown, and ... Aug 14, 2021
It's just bad.
The story feels forced, the conflict is fake and artificial (especially with how black and white it is), and the characters are very surface-level, at best typical anime tropes without any real substance to make them whole and at worst a boring white canvass that the author forgot to paint with desire and personality. Because of that, automatically, the harem just feel lame, and any attempt from them to comfort the hero for his self-proclaimed struggles just don't work at all. But enough negativity, now let's try to get to the good sides. Art is nice, even if the fight scene is kinda meh ... Dec 20, 2024
It's generic. Isekai with heavy harem setting.
There's nothing interesting about any of the characters and the world building is very bad. The MC is japanese guy that was going to enter university, them is teleported to another world as the hero, the, after showing his vast modern knowledge is given the throne. The guy them starts pulling all kind of modern reforms in a magical medieval world that is the feudal era, and ALL makes sense, there's practically no cultural/educational resistance to anything the guy is doing. It's like the writer has no idea how a world in that low state of education will behave when ... Mar 12, 2022
It truly pains me to write that I'll be dropping this. Minor spoilers below.
The premise of this manga is so interesting, and it is performed so well. In many ways it is like the slime isekai, except it feels much more believable. The politics are engaging and somewhat realistic, and the characters are enjoyable. It's no masterpiece of writing or intrigue, but it's definitely quite good. I knew something was up when I saw the harem tag on various websites though, and that should have been warning enough, but I carried on. That was a mistake. The art-style used when drawing the female characters is honestly ... |
