both stories are about a boy who suddenly becomes a unhuman being, both are forced to eat human flesh agains their will and then they turn into badass people

Both prominently feature a human character who has been transformed into an Oni but maintain a still will to become human again

Both seemingly normal main characters act on their intrusive thoughts making for plenty of unhinged scenes early on. Both reads have supernatural elements and cool fights.

Both stories deal with an infection, an organization dedicated to defeating it, and the main character is an infected that does not go crazy like other humans. They have similar hairstyles too.

In both series, main characters have taken/inplant something non-human into their body, which given them great power. But if it's not controlled, they will go berserk. And they're both (slowly) turning into monster because of the power. They fight monsters, Dracules in Dragon Eye and Ogre in Kurozakuro.

It's the same in that they both have something invade the body in which they can somewhat communicate with and the main character struggles to keep his humanity. Keep in mind, the art is not as good and its more grotesque but thye story is good.

Both are shounens that begin similarly: a boy is given the power of a monster. He thinks he can control it, but soon finds himself giving way to his new urges. To protect his family, he runs from home, and goes on a journey with a man. Kuro goes into this aspect in more depth.

In both stories the protagonists have another being who holds great power living inside of them. The protagonists struggle to keep their humanity against these beings while fighting for a way to maintain balance and order within their lives. Their hidden power makes them targets for those who wish to control that power for themselves. In each story there exists a group who hunts down the protagonist and a group who protects them with the hope that they will be the key to saving them all. There are several fighting scenes and each character holds their own unique fighting style (more apparent in Naruto).  read more
