To be entirely honest, I may be slightly biased in writing this. I have an extreme connection to Persona 4 through the video game; reading this manga is just helping me reliving the same experiences I had with the game. And is that really a bad thing? In every way the Persona 4 manga is for long time fans of the game looking to see their favorite adventure through a new perspective. I really enjoyed seeing one of my favorite games adapted into a manga. While I don’t think the medium is the best fit for this franchise, there are certainly some amazing panels and impressive artwork that make it worth checking out. That said, I wouldn’t consider it a superior experience by any means. For me, the game remains the definitive way to enjoy this story, with its immersive gameplay, atmosphere, and emotional depth.
