| The official website for a new anime series titled X Maiden was launched today. It reveals that the original anime will be streamed on Nico Nico Douga. Synopsis: In the year 20xx, a mysterious life form named "Croix" appears out of nowhere and launches a vicious attack, sending humanity into despair. After all options have been exhausted, humanity's last hope against Croix is activated: "X Maiden." | Definitely reminds me of Vividred I mean even the synopsis kind of sound the same: But suddenly, the world is visited by danger. An unknown enemy, the Alone, appear, targeting the Manifestation Engine. As none of their weapons worked and they fell into despair, a lone girl takes a stand wearing a red "Palette Suit" which wields a great, hidden power. I'm still gonna check it out though. |

| I would expect a skin-tight battle armor, ridiculous sci-fi weaponry, pseudo-yuri relationship between the team leader and her second-in-command, a traitor heroine who gets redeemed with simple sob story, and training arc consisting of beach and bikini. Other than that, i'm not looking forward to it. |

| You never know what to expect out of shows like these. I mean, it all sounds stupid, looks stupid, and ends up being stupid. But then there are cases like Symphogear that are almost the same, yet so awesome. Please make these girls dance or sing or something during action scenes! Become Symphogear! |

| Gonna skip this. Vividred Operation was fine as a cliche plot but really, there isn't anything else better to offer except for its FRIENDSHIP IS MAGICAL part. Symphogear + Symphogear G isn't any better but I've to admit the ludicrous plot and its dramatic action does make me smirk a little. And the design for this looks pretty bad. So no. |
