THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE.
----------------------------------------
This episode we had alot explained, for example Gilgamesh is imortal, Kaaya is Gilgamesh's and Ki's(Kai?) kid.

Still don't know why there was betrayles, but it is becoming a bit more clear.

Also Jil has Ivy's sword now, and kicked Druaga's ass for a second time.

Some people may jump at the chance to forgive Kayaa but I believe Kayaa is still in the wrong at this point in the series.

Her decision to save Jil was selfish because it wasn't her choice to make whether he would or would not accompany her. Who is she to judge how he spends his life and to forcibly limit his life to a certain path. Jil was barely living in Meskia because of the pain she caused him.

That being said, I don't blame Jil for choosing almost certain death because his life was meaningless in Meskia and that's the worst thing you can do to a hero. Heros need reasons to live and to fight. He had a reason, to protect Kayaa and he enjoyed the adventure along the way. Jil needs a hero's death, he craves it, it's his meaning in life, and to take that away from him is just wrong.

As expected, the script is really bad when it becomes serious. So many flaws and plot holes... Well, it remains a somewhat fun anime with nice characters even if a lot of elements (scenario, direction, animation...) are not that great

In every age, in every place, the deeds of men remain the same.

Thankfully they explained everything I thought to be true in the first series. I'm glad that they didn't try to play coy this season and hold off on explaining a lot of stuff, like I was afraid that they were going to do.

But geez...I sure didn't miss that CG...get your act together Gonzo.

I hope there's more to it and Kaaya getting forgiven too easily. Still don't know Neeba's objective. Uragon nee ds to go away already, bad villain and annoying. That fat pig whatever her name is who manipulates Gil needs to die to.

Well, Kaaya was going to died there on her own will and she didn't need any sympathy by telling her reason. So I don't think there is a reason to put a blame on her. And I am really exiting to know what is Neeba's objective, too.

Hopefully Neeber's objective is to jump off the top of the tower of something... so Jil and Fatina can be together :D

Didn't they do a flash back with the necro guy saying something about Neeba being in that faction that wants to revive the other king or was that the other way around? Cant remember lol.

I still think Fantina is a whore and Kaaya is not at fault for anything :P.

Just remembered something...in the first series, didn't Neeba say something about trying to stop that faction from succeeding? That led to the stabbing of Gilgamesh that Jil got framed for. Maybe Neeba was lying, and he was apart of the faction all along?

I like how it was just like a video game where to get to the next level they had to reopen it by defeating druaga again, and it being the second time around it was way easier. Which reminds me, Druaga is the worst anime Dragon I have ever seen, the CG just doesn't fit right, glad he's been defeated and we don't have to see him again. I really hope there aren't going to be any more like that in the rest of the tower.

This episode did answer a lot of questions, but it sortof bothers me that it took so long for us to finally figure out what Kaaya was hiding, because we always knew she was hiding something really big. So I agree, I don't want to forgive her so easily for making decisions for Jil without even giving a reason at all.

There are so many parallels this time around to the first season with wacky twists of course. I don't know if I really like that part about it, but I like that the story seems to be developing.

I don't think that is Druaga. Ki referred to it as the Guardian or something-or-other.

Because she is not the type of these characters "Shana, Louise, Taiga, Haruhi" ?

It's a LFF (looser fatina fanboy) syndrome: Kaaya is whore and bitch because she stands in Fatina's way to Jil heart HAR HAR HAR
Seriously, there is not enough facepalms posted at whole 4chan to describe this epic fail.

well then. i guess it makes it all better now. hehe. still she probably is going to die. most of the angst towards kaaya is understandable mostly because it ended without anything being explained so she really did look like the bad guy.

now they need to explain the purpose of the tower in the first place. i am thinking whoever kills the king will also get a curse.

rawfulmao I think that you would mind because by gaining immortality and aging, you wouldn't have the virility of back when you were young :p! Wouldn't be able to make babies anymore ;).

I still prefer Fatina, but I'm not like most of the fanboys. |:

Anyways, this episode pretty summed up most of the gaps from the previous season.

Though, we still don't know Neeba's true attention.

Alright, now that most of our questions are answered, from this point onwards, Tower of Druaga needs to kick the quality up a notch. Sure, it is a fun show like Jacut mentioned, but I agree that the overall execution of the story has been lackluster since the beginning.

SoU has been a real drag compared to the first season. Marathon'd through the first season and the 4 episodes of season 2 the past few days and I was really unimpressed with the second season's execution of everything.

I don't know if they are setting it up for some lame ending or something but so far on this pace s2 is going to get at least 2 scores lower than the first season from me.

Good explanations are good.

Gilgamesh is immortal and has 2 bodies. The kid Ki is really the wife of Gilgamesh, and Kaaya is really a royalty that wants to end Gilgamesh's suffering for being immortal.

Nice

I'm glad Jil told everyone that they might not make it back if they choose to climb those stairs. You know...unlike Kaaya. I don't care if she turned her back on Jil and the others to keep them safe. It wasn't her decision to make. What makes it worse is she actually went with Neeba who also had no trouble using and betraying other people.
