"Operation Giant Roller"

Wow, Victory Gundam continues to get more and more brutal. The Zanscare empire's "battleships" are "pressing out the land." In other words, they are crushing innocent civilians underneath their machines. It seems senseless to me. Why the hell are they slaughtering so many innocent ppl instead of taking on military targets. There is basically NO reason to side w/ a group of killers. With their excuse of "evolving the world", they come across as no more than thinly veiled fanatical killers. I hope Uso can get it together and help avoid more slaughter. On a side note, Tomache & Odelo are turning into pretty good wingmen. Besides this ep, Uso has been a pretty good & ironic mentor.

The Zanscare Empire wants to rule the people by sheer terror and they also want to show to the masses how the federation abandon and don't protect their own. This new battleship is only a symbol of terror. It seems that the Zanscare Empire doesn't have the military power to lunch a direct attack against the federation's main force.

Getting heavy on the action and massacre, and some crazy huge mechas appeared. Pretty neat battle scenes, but the drama felt forced, I couldn't buy it. Odelo and Tomache are evolving as characters, that's a nice touch. The way this is going, they'll probably have a meaningless deaths though...

I can't understand Zanscare's tactics at all either. It seems like they're trying to just kill everyone, it's either them vs. the league or them vs. innocent civilians. Why would Katejina join them anyways when she was almost one of the innocent civilians killed by them? I certainly wouldn't join the military of an enemy who destroyed my home town for no apparent reason....

Odelo falco punches Uso there at the end. He is easily the best character in this show along with Chronicle. <3

The main issue I have with Zanscare at this point is how atrocious their uniforms look. UC 0013 called and they want their gaudy epaulets back.

The beginning scene with the mechanician desperately acting on her own was the only good moment this time

"Better pollute wildernes with nuclear explosions." Huh?

Why create a warship with a wheel ? To terrorize people with a bulldozer... They even seem to fear that the Federation could enter the conflict. Not wondering why when you see where they spend money.

3/5 Battles, battles, battles everywhere, everytime!

Did you forget her reaction toward the dead in the town?
She spent several weeks with Chronicle, that's when love happened. At first, she felt guilty toward Uso (probably because of this sister/brother or maternal link they had) then the lover side of her womanhood took the priority, even though the maternal side still prevented her to kill Uso and made her angry about Uso's starting independency.

Not even in 0079? Wasn't there an MS destruction blowing up a hole in a colony or sometllhing?
@St0rmblade Right ! My bad. I also thought this Victory scene was a bit too much but it was probably to emphasize the point being made. (also, even if Tomino had thought about it before, I'm not sure if it would have been possible to display it every time it had to be back then)

I don't get how someone like Cronicle, who seemed willing to establish some kind of matriarchy revolving around Queen Maria and the concept of peace, would agree to Zanscare Nazi-tier tactics. They've razed an entire city to the fucking ground this episode, for fuck's sake! How does one even defend let alone justify that kind of senseless slaughter?

Looks like Uso can't catch a break either. This kid is going to break sooner or later.

Dude, really good point. Cronicle was an even tempered, sincere guy, but now that has apparently dissipated. Zanscare has simply evolved into a Nazi group that wants to cleanse the earth of individuals that do not meet the standards of people of space.

The action in this episode was nonstop and I loved it. Uso is just awesome.. but how annoying is his affection towards Katejina?!? Not blaming him, he's still a 13 year old, but really.. fuck her. What a heel she is.. someone you love to hate!

So Tomino finally remembered the "ecological" part of Zanscare, I see. Not much different from Zeonism, actually.

And I'm pretty sure that mobile suits have never exploded like *that*, even with their reactor hit

There was, I think, but not big enough to form a mushroom cloud like a nuclear bomb

there wasn't any real resistance, but Zanscare just turned the cities into dust.
More nonsense is that the Federation does nothing against it.

A direct Gundam Nuke had been more effective on that battleship.
