| I honestly quite liked this episode. Most of the time, they hype up extremely situational decks like that one, but this time around they seemed pretty aware that yeah, it was shit. He was probably only picked to be a Shadow Rider because he was famed to be the God Duelist, and the big bad evil guy didn't bother to actually check to see if he lived up to his fame. All in all, a pretty fun episode, no complaints from me. |

| Everyone was aware he sucked so it wasn't so much the duel itself that I focused on but the character reactions around him. The pharaoh PROPOSING to Juudai because of his passion was so unexpected, but I mean, yeah. This is "Everyone Loves Juudai: The Show" so it's about time a "bad guy" swooned over him lmao. None of the seven have been particularly bad so far, so I feel like the group is being tested for some reason... I don't trust the prof and his glowing glasses. |

There's no mystery behind that decision; he was claimed to be undefeated and clearly whoever's in charge of the Seven Stars didn't know that Abidos' servants lost to him on purpose. Abidos was mediocre not just by GX villain standards, but by even minor character standards. His deck was lame and I thought it was hilarious that even Manjoume and the others thought so. At least we got to see Daitokuji's other side. |
| That was an interesting concept! I enjoyed the undefeated villain of the day barely even counting as a threatening villain, even though he did nearly pull off a win in the end. I wonder if Jaden's HERO combo will come into play in a future episode, because that was a pretty cool moment. |
