| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- And so Leomon dies again. Leomon has been defeated in every season and looks like as even being a partner won't save him from his fate. How did Guilmon evolve to Growmon when Takato wasn't near? I remember Hirokazu trying to use digivice to help random digimon and that didn't work, so how did they get that thing to work? This new evolution reminds me of SkullGraymon from Adventure. |

| The episode is pretty much the most memorable episode of Tamers... Good goddess is it awful. Both in animation (because of course) and writing. From Guilmon evolving without Takato to how Leomon died after clunky writing establishes him as "kind and strong" to Takato. Ugh. |
| I sure do love how the title card at the beginning of the episode is once again a huge spoiler. I just can't wrap my head around why the director thought it was a good idea to name the episodes after major events like that. I mean seriously, "The Death of the Kind-Hearted Hero, Leomon"—what the hell?! Do they really have to "foreshadow" like that just because it's a kids show? Could they possibly be less subtle?!!! |

| Culumon falls. Dat shinka diamond. WTF! How did Guilmon shinka without Takato? Digignomes. Lopmon is a Deva. Zhuqiaomon. Moumantai. Culumon is not a digimon? Former shape? Chatsuramon. Beelzebumon appears. Dat theme. MATRIX EVOLUTION Terriermon, shinka! Rapidmon! WTF is up with this episode? Guilmon shinka'd to Growmon without Takato. Lee uses Matrix Evolution to warp/speed shinka Terriermon to Rapidmon. Growmon shinka'd to MegaloGrowmon without Takato using a card. All this includes Culumon not being there, which has been inconsistent for the longest. The only thing that made sense was Culumon's light being transferred to the area allowing MegaloGrowmon to shinka to Ultimate. So Guilmon's other symbol was for hazard. So what about the other symbol thats just like Culumon's? The true shinka? MC makes his digimon go bad again. lol at Ruki freaking out. That's why she's not better than Ryo and why he called them noobs. What does this series have against Leomon? Why does this 1 digimon have to die? Plus, they spoiled this in the next episode preview, which they like to do also. |

| Not only this is easily one of the best Tamers episode, but also one of the best episodes in the whole Digimon franchise. This still gives me chills even though I have seen this for so many times. Poor Leomon and Yuri. :( Beelzebumon had no mercy. And poor Guilmon. Takato ordered him to evolve to mega, and he became Megidramon, a virus type Digimon. Yep, that's definitely not his true mega form. "The Kind-Hearted Hero, Leomon Dies" is so moronic episode title, because it spoils the whole thing. That's why "Lionheart" sounds so much better in the dubbed version. Also, in the dubbed version Leomon says before he dies: "Be brave, Yuri. Part of my will be always with you. Remember, you have a lion's heart." And in the original version: "Looks like this is my fate." I think Leomon's last moment felt much more emotional in the dubbed version. "Looks like this is my fate" sounds so bland. |
