According to Amazon Japan, an OVA of Highschool DxD was announced to be released on September 20th. The Blu-ray will be bundled with the 13th volume of the original novel.

It has almost no censorship(henitals would be censored anyway) so not much reason to wait for BD ).

OVA is good thing. Why not. I like this series more than most of ecchi harems which aired last two years

I found it quite enjoyable. Episode two improved on comedy.

Just watched the special, 3 1/2 minute long ep where they go to the beach, have a suntan lotion gag and a watermelon busting punishment, is this the OVA they announced?

It was short and sweet, so I didn't mind it, definitely not as bad as those Ao Exorcist specials...

Is there another word for synonym?

I just watched the same thing, but it doesn't seem to be listed on MAL yet... although there is not description for this OVA, it seems to be slated for release much, much later, and I am guessing it will a lot longer.

I could be wrong though... anyone who knows for sure, please reply.

No, that's a speical episode not a ova. It's just a spinoff. That the 3 minutes 1/2 episode that you are watching are special episodes of Highschool DXD. It is too early for them to air the ova so soon. The ova will lanuch on September 20.
