| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Now that I think about it. I'm kinda disappointed that every car they battle is Japanese. There ARE foreign cars in Japan. I want to see Takumi take on a GT3, Corvette, or maybe a Clio V6. Just anything that's not Japanese. On another note, why the hell do people praise that guy for driving with one hand. Limiting yourelf to drive with one hand is a handicap. Then the fat guy, has superior throttle technique? Shouldn't everybody who's a great driver have great throttle technique? One last thing. The new opening and ending themes are kinda absurd. What the hell is a Noizy Tribe? And the Engrish in the ending, oh boy. |

As about foreign cars well first no one will get an American car like a Corvette or a Mustang because if you didn't notice those roads have a lot of turns. American cars like that have the suspension abilities of Europeans cars 20 years ago. As many say American cars are for going straight. I live in Europe and we laugh our ass off every time an American guy driving a Corvette thinks he has an awesome sport car and how much they want such cars. Now about Porches and tuned Clios. Well it's simple. Two reasons. First is a Japanese show so they will like promoting their own cars and second they are too expensive compared to local cars. As you imagine the cheapest place to buy a Japanese car is in Japan and Europeans car are probably more expensive than in their own countries. Everything is cheaper, the car, spare parts, service, even availability of such parts is an important factor and is a lot better when you have a local market than waiting for things o be flied over. So considering the Japanese make some nice cars for such road races like Evo, Impreza, Skyline GT-R, etc, why would anyone buy a European highly more expensive car than a Japanese one. If you go to Japan you will see that they truly don't use foreign cars for such things. Hell even in Europe Japanese cars are more than European car in such events. Anyway this old guys seem really built-up as awesome, i wonder if this will turn out to be the first defeat of Project D. |

| So once again they are racing against some opponents that are really, really good, huh. At least this time these "gods" are middle-aged men with lots of experience, pretty much like Bunta, so it makes sense. And they are also a lot more pleasing than those last thugs for sure. That "God Foot" guy talk with Keisuke was pretty funny, and somehow, Kenta trying to get a tan made me laugh a bit too. But well, this episode had some new, small details that made all the difference though. Like the moped, Keisuke racing first, and Takumi and Keisuke sharing a room. I said this once, but I will say it again: I'm really liking how close Takumi is getting to the Takahashi Brothers, it's like he's the new youngest brother. A few episodes ago, Iketani was jealous of their proximity, well, sorry not sorry, but they are way cooler, and this season is way better without Iketani being present all the time too. |

| The oppents seem pretty likeable this time, which seems to piss off Keisuke. I feel him, tho. Pretty excited for the outcome of this race and hell, wouldn't surprise me if these "old-timers" know Bunta and vice versa. |

| I like those guys from Purple Shadow. They are not only skilled veterans, but they seem to be okay in general as racers. I feel weird when I see those races with no other cars on public roads. Like, they start at 8 p.m., so how is it possible that no one else appeared? ;P First Stage was more realistic in this case. It felt more like a street race with all those signals and people responsible for watching the road and inform about any vehicle that enters the road and is not involved in the race. |

| The more acceptable opponents veterans taking on some amateurs if that's still what you can call them but they're better than that to call themselves more than amateurs, Pretty likeable since they're middle aged guys just trying to have fun bringing back the old days, These boomers and their advice I think that snapped a nerve on Keisuke don't know why tho prob guilt tripping him to enjoy life and youth which he kinda misses out on. |

| takumi and keisuke vs some supposed god-like figures in the street racing world, interesting. they seem nice as well. |

| This race will be nothing new! Keisuke doesn't think so, but Takume also feels this weight. I hope it's a race that has adrenaline for those watching, the soundtrack also helps. |
