THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- I got to say the concept of this series, an eye that can hack into ANY computer in the world, is incredibly cool and kind of broken (how the hell can you beat somone like that?) but the episode itself was rather so-so. Would've probably made a pretty good series, I think. Sent with Mal Updater |

It's really too bad there's just two 50-minute OVAs of this, a whole 26-episode series would have been great. |

This was great! Really loved the art and the animation, as well as the overall concept. The sci-fi aesthetics were really cool as well. The character design was good, for the most part. I only thought that Goku's shirtless vest & tie combo was really stupid looking. In any case, that's a small nitpick. Like others have said, I really wish they still produced anime like this nowadays. I'll be sure to check out the second one. |

This is pretty cool, then he gets given an eye that can start nuclear armageddon and a cane that extends a mile high. OK xD And it's alright for what it is. (Never get that much water in that corridor though) |

The eye replacement angle is a bit over the top and over powered. I mean... tap in to the nuclear codes around the world?! Seriously?? And a bow staff with infinite reach and power. Really?? Then, to top it all off, we get zero explanation as to who gave either of those to him and why. Come on guys. Maybe just a small clue as to why he's been turned in to the super-man of cyber punk private eyes? |

Very nice Ova, to the older style animation, with a plot comun but effective to 50 minutes... One of the points of this Ova was the Goku clothe style!!!! very personal!!! xD The second point of this Ova was the mistery about this incredible eye, cibernetic eye that can controlled all the machines of the earth!!! O_O I liked it!!! and i wait more in the second Ova!!! kekeke |

"Buhhh where's the continuation after the 2 anime episodes???" In the manga. Definitely a good first episode. |

So awesome and ridiculous with great art, animation, and soundtrack. Goku is way powerful with the eye and the staff and an odd combo of Odin and Son Goku seemingly. This is what Trash OVAs are about! |

All Hail Kawajiri because once again he knocked it out of the park. I just LOVE this mans style. Wicked City, Cyber City Oedo 808, Demon City Shinjuku, Vampire Wars, Golgo 13 The Professional, Golgo 13 Queen Bee, Angel Cop, AD Police, Bubblegum Crisis, Bio Hunter ^ Quality varies between them but they all have a similar style and tone. Though a few have Horror elements also. |

I was actually pretty surprised at how much I enjoyed this. I kind of wish Madhouse would redo this as a full series. Given how advanced animation has gotten in the 3 decades since this was made, it had pretty good art and animation. Story was pretty sound too. But he really is too OP. He needs some sort of weakness. |

I kept asking myself during the beginning "Have I watched this before?", but then I saw the little bald Asian man riding the feral, laser-mouth stripper android by holding onto a pair of handlebars on her back and I realized the answer to my question was a resounding "No." |

The eye connect is a little lacking in background or detail, such as the inventor who mysteriously being some product of a futuristic age full of augmentation, or cybernetics (one character seemed to be totally surprised and did not believe in the cybernetic eye), replacing his inconspicuously damaged eyeball. The story connects when his reasoning for use is a free-form P.I. job. I like those type of sci-fi anime themes. I love Steven Blume also, his voice was perfect for Spike in Cowboy Bebop, could not imagine any other voice for the role now. The use of women robots seemed very 80's OVA which is probably the only reason I finished watching the first episode. The second was much more entertaining, imo. |

really wish this anime was longer such an epic concept, atleast there’s a second OVA . The dub I was watching was a bit wack and for a sec I thought I was watching an abridged and it wasn’t very good lol but i got used to it. Anyways the only problem I had with the ANIME was that the main character was way too op considering that he had the power to get any information and control any machine which being in the future only adds to how op he is... man needs some weaknesses. |

Although I know this is a two-parter, it still seemed a bit lackluster for a 50-minute runtime. It was missing something, I just can't put my finger on it. It had a good amount of sex appeal, maybe more violence? I'm not sure. Also, as others have mentioned, that eye thing is way too op. It would have been ok with me if he was going around destroying everything, but he barely uses it. Hopefully, he grows a pair in the second OVA and does something fun. |

It could have been executed way better than it did but it wasn't terrible. |

Shows like this are why I love old dubs, especially Manga Entertainment. I just read that the woman who sang the ED song passed away last year :( |

The concept for this was amazing! This was one of the better 90s OVAs for sure. |

Bruhh... the part with eye is so retarded that transcend any boundaries. How the fuck can you give something like that to an enemy? And how exactly that tech works? You have unlimited access without to be held accountable? Without anyone wondering that somebody are accessing their satellites and weapons? Bruhh for real so retarded (I'm sure it works in another environment, but not in this series) |
