Wait... Tomoko and Mariko are friends now? When did that happen? I wish they'd actually devoted an episode or 2 regarding to how that came about.

Also, I guess Saint Just and Kaoru are in lesbians with each other? Feels kind of peculiar that the only two characters that kinda look like dudes are the ones who are the yuri pair in this series.

Well, Tomoko and Mariko were actually being friendly to each other last episode or so. I kind of agree that it would have been nice to see how this happened in at least one scene or something.

Rei is just so out there, honestly I'm having a real tough time understanding and relating to her actions. I think that that kind of hearts my enjoyment considering a lot of the series so far has been about her.

Mariko and Tomoko are friends now :D!

Before this episode, I didn't get any yuri vibes between Kaoru and Saint Juste. But after seeing that scene, I'm not so sure anymore. Maybe it's just to provide warmth? Still...

Hmm and that rumor, I wonder if that was really about Juste and Miya.

So happy about Mariko accepting Tomoko and they are hanging out normally!

How did Saint Juste jump off from that height without breaking a bone? Must be anime physics at work here.

TOMOKO

TOO SOON

Oh, and that title, "A Tale of a Double Suicide," with the rest of the episode that followed.

Goodness gracious.

Rei is seriously mad; did she always have a screw loose or is is the result of the abusive relationship with her sister.

when nanako naively asked why their friendship was different than hers with tomoko lmao. like honey, really now. it's obvious that kaoru has feelings for rei, it's either super motherly or romantic. that story about the seiran seniors was interesting... AND GOOD GOD, POP UPS! rei outside the balcony window though, wtf. that scared me, i thought rei suicided for some reason lol. so like somewhere in the series, is rei ever going to become sane at one point? or is she always going to have some crazy up in that terrorized mind of hers?
mariko and tomoko are friends... i don't know man, that was some heavy beef they had before over being nanako's friend...

I completely lost all sympathy for Rei after finding out that she's Miya's "little sister". She can go ahead and die for all I care.

Rei can you quit jumping off from high places for a couple of episodes before Nanako gets a heart attack. Silly Nanako, Saint-juste was always crazy but I honestly didn't expect Kaoru to share the bed with Rei there naked ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

I mean, if your sister was abusive to you and constantly gaslighting you then I'm sure that'd be enough to mess with your head too. Rei has endured so much abuse that she'd turn to drugs to numb the pain of it.

Idk why Rei is in love with her sister, but I'm hopeful the story will try to explain that and how it happened.

But mostly I really want to see Rei find a bright place after getting through all this.

And I want Kaoru to be there with her as her support. Kaoru is just great. ^^

But I'm only 1/3 of the way done so idk what's gonna come next honestly :p

Will Kaoru even be able to help Rei once the time comes? The troubled girl Rei needs professional help ASAP., no questions asked.

And it warms my heart to see those three together as friends!

I'm genuinely so concerned for Rei, and hope she get's better... something that happened with Fukiko has really given her some incredibly strong trigger responses. I can't wait to see how this unravels!

Also Nanako constantly missing the Sorority study group is going to PISS Fukiko off

Mariko and Tomoko hanging out is so weird but Tomoko's line of being too depressed to eat was unintentionally hilarious.

So Kaoru has feelings for Rei, sad.

Well, it seems like all Mariko needed was her friends and her father being concerned. So far, she's normal and not so possessive. Unfortunately, Rei is still Rei...

It's great to see Nanako, Tomoko and Mariko all getting along together. Everything's better that way.

Rei is still hypnotized by her sister, and is now mistaking Nanako for her sister, and is trying to kill her! Can Nanako get away?

Mariko creepy era over! Mariko & Nanako & Tomoko friendship established! yayy!

Miya was different this episode. up until now she was just overly confident & graceful with a different extents of scary. this episode though, she really seemed disturbed - when she had a vision of Rei under the tree and when she heard her playing piano. i'm glad we got a liiitle glimpse inside her character but also curious about her relationship with Rei. i wonder why she hates her so much. and why would she promise Rei a double suicide in past...? were they really lovers?

Rei's perception of Miya is strange, too. she's always obsessive towards her, sometimes negatively (words on the tower's wall, knife tossing) sometimes positively (cannot bear a thought of Miya cathing a cold and all that). sometimes she's aware Miya intends to hurt her and yet she always obliges. every Miya's action intimidates Rei, but what it is she's afraid of?

about Kaoru and Rei, i honestly still can't see tham involved romantically. yet. some friends do have this level of physical intimacy. so far, Kaoru seems to be a really good friend to me. this can change in future though, since we actually don't know much about Kaoru yet. most her appearances were helping others and we mostly learned form them that's she's a good person

I'm interested in when did Saint Juste's trauma take place, the event(s) that caused her to become like this... because, on the one hand, being Miya-sama's sister — and esp. if romantic feelings were involved, as hinted — it would make sense that her "condition" is long-standing (if not since an early age). However, in Kaoru's flashback when they first met — not further than two years in the past — Saint Juste seemed rather normal; still the "unconventional herself," but very much sane. They also seem to have had a close relationship (even if purely platonic), and Kaoru doesn't strike me as the type that would involve herself with a "crazy" person, if Saint Juste had been the same as now.

Therefore, whatever caused Rei to become like this, likely occurred rather recently — and that, in turn, begs other questions. For example, when did they learn they were sisters? — I already speculated that Rei could be an illegitimate child, hence why Miya-sama does not accept her. Either that, or there had been some tragedy in the family for which Miya-sama holds Rei accountable. I do not believe the two were ever romantically involved (although possible), with the love Rei asking for in Fukiko being purely sisterly love (or some sense of redemption).

Furthermore, Miya-sama being anything BUT the "rebel" archetype, I cannot even imagine her promising Rei a "double suicide" like that. Given (the signs of) her psychopathy, it could all have been a ruse, to deceive Rei into taking her own life, thinking Fukiko would follow her — and then that failed suicide attempt is what traumatized Rei, keeping her stuck in that "modus operandi" ever since, and waiting for Fukiko? Or... maybe Saint Juste attempted to take her life of her own accord, the "double suicide" being just Fukiko playing with her feelings, or something that Rei entirely misinterpreted instead?

In any case... I'm happy she has Nanako and my girlie Kaoru caring for her (as much as she allows them to), and I hope she can* recover. As for Miya-sama, I feel like everything is overtly pointing to her being the "villain," so that in itself is making me a little skeptical of seeing her entirely in that light (i.e. there's a gradient to it, and there's so little of the background we know at this point).

Also, first scene with the trio — Nanako, Tomoko, and* Mariko — yay!
